Indian Political Discussion

No one will ever be able to blackmail Modi. By 10th June, BJP will have simple majority of its own of 272 seats by including Independents and some broken away from other parties. Wait and Watch. Nitish and Naidu are playing with fire called Modi. They will be shown their place.
As per some reports 10/11 independents/small party MPs have already declared support to the NDA, so the total figure for them now is 303. The fear of Nitish/Chandrababu blackmail has reduced quite a bit.

PS: People don't understand that this election was going to be an existential one for the opposition and they lost. Modi ji is back as I said earlier, now they should get ready to get screwed. Come 2029, BJP/Modi will regain full majority on their own. BJP ain't going anywhere for many-many decades to come.

The lies, deception, riling the castes and false promises can get you ONLY this far. The US deep state has lost and Sanatan has once again prevailed.

@Rajput Lion suggested that the BJP can convert others to their party to form a majority but it feels unlikely.
Not me but @vstol Jockey sir:

Pretty much sums it up for what's going to happen in 2024-2029, and that's if there's no major instability in the NDA alliance before then:

View attachment 33904

And add to that:

  • No land reforms
  • No labour reforms
  • No farm laws

All things considered, it's a f@cking miracle that NDA is still gonna be forming the Govt despite such a bad showing in both UP & MH. Certainly didn't expect this. Guess BJP lost touch with the grassroots sentiments.

Something tells me, Modi will not be completing the 3rd term. We'll see a new face leading BJP before 2029 polls. The 'age limit' may well be used as the excuse to shoehorn someone new (Yogi? Gadkari?) while NDA is still in power.
Labour reform has already been completed, but they got cold feet to notify the rules. That was the behavior of a full government, now guess how they will behave with this kind of numbers.

sorry my bad, was typing quick to catch a plane. 😅😅😅

I'm not sure if this is satire or not

That's the whole coalition combined. The BJP itself only won 240, so they lost over 60 seats. Before they could push through legislation on their own. Now they have to work with their coalition or somehow poach 32 members
BJP needs just additional 8 seats more from other parties to effectively tackle anykind of blackmail by Naidu and Nitish. They will be sent to the dustbin of history.

explain more please because I don't understand the logic. 248 seats is still less than 272. He'll need cooperation from members who know they have leverage. For any bill why won't his coalition members demand concessions? They have every incentive to.
No worries👍

The game is about opportunities. Independents and smaller parties which have won the election need money to grow and fight next elections. That is possible only if they are part of winning party. So between naidu and Nitish, who so ever quits first, BJP will bring in others to counter the decrease in numbers. That will make the other partner think twice before putting conditions on BJP as they too will be shown the same gate. But what will happen in next elections for Naidu and Nitish if they fail to blackmail Modi when he is supposedly so vulnerable? They will be history forever.

Feels optimistic but we will see. I think even the smaller members have ambitions. We'll see how many people switch sides over the coming days/weeks.

But the other aspect to this is what will happen to Nitish or CBN of they don't bring any big ticket items to their constituents? CBN especially has a huge mandate to deliver a new capital city which won't be cheap.

Keeping the same team in power forever is how you end up getting corruption, incompetence, and autocracy.

One good aspect of this mandate is that Opposition which was all set to burn down India in case Modi got thumper majority, will now cool down and will not go ahead with the protests which they had planned.
Second most important point is that Congress will now continue with RaGa and will not seek a replacement for him. This will majorly help BJP+ in 2029.

+1 to that. Also their EVM hacked card is now busted as well. All the fake lies and propaganda plus trying to rejuvenate the caste venom and riling the SC/ST/OBC against Modi will come back to haunt them during the next elections.

1)Nimmi single handedly throw away most of the middle class from BJP. She is responsible for this reduced numbers.
2) Mod's 400+ seat spread fear on even hard core BJP supporters.
3) The non sensical & anti Democratic measures like freezing Congress account spread fear on common men
4) JP's remark against RSS.

Lastly most of my co workers with BJP inclination are damn happy that BJP came to powere with out absolute majority, they were favouring coalition government. They were sad that BJP didn't win faizabad constituency.

and add this

BJP’s miscalculations

The BJP, however, failed to sense the simmering anger among the residents, whose houses were completely or partly demolished for the Ram Path, a 20-metre wide, 13-kilometre stretch leading to the newly constructed temple. Besides, heritage temples such as Janki Shukla Mandir; Dashrath Mahal, once considered to be the birthplace of Ram; and Lal Mohariya Chah Bhaiyya Dharsmshala were also demolished.

“Residents who lost their properties and land weren’t properly compensated.

This is basically fraud with own people which is worse than corruption. More over they brought in outside investors so that they can make more profit out of the land taken from locals. If this is true then I am happy they are taught a lesson.

Shame on you BJP

Typical of Indian politics. BJP's senior leadership lost touch with ground realities as early as 2018. They failed to read growing farmer's protest and did not act in time to crush it early. The BKLM or whatever should have been crushed properly before they could do any protest.

They were hit by a terror attack in early 2019 and were caught pants down in preparing to counter it properly. Should have done a better job than an "intelligence based operation". Anyhow the operation proved useful for 2019 election.

They failed to read growing unemployment situation in the heartlands. They failed to read growing grievances of their own cadres in these places. They failed to account for local leadership's insights in this. They ran 2024 election in those parts from Delhi.

And rest is history.

2024 - 2029 BJP plan should be:
To make this government Titanium proff atleast 5 to 10 MPs from the I.N.D.I. alliance should resign and re-election for those seats should happen.
Since there is no COVID this time, Infrastructure and railway development work should be a priority task.
They should give Tax relief to middle class and reduce freebies.
Healthcare should be available for all.
More job opportunities for fresh graduates.
The decision-taking process should be more streamlined to reduce the implementation timeline
