Indian Political Discussion

Intelligence agency/GoI need to be more proactive about these kind of groups. These fringe political groups can easily get hijacked by malicious actors and end up causing harm to the Nation.

These clowns like Neha Das and Subham on X are literally promoting collaboration with Pakistanis and what not to spread propaganda against GoI/India by inciting youths with certain fringe views on caste. Basically brainwashing youth into believing the state is their enemy..

Raghav chaddha along with 6 other RSMPs left AAP to join BJP. Story is still developing.

The less said, the better.

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar has opened up about the industry’s growing obsession with hyper-masculine storytelling, calling out what he describes as a phase dominated by “big alpha” energy and testosterone-heavy narratives. In a recent interview with The Week, the director reflected on how mainstream Hindi cinema is increasingly leaning towards exaggerated displays of masculinity, often at the cost of nuance and diversity in storytelling.

Several states are in heaps of debt. They'll find navigating any medium-term fiscal crisis difficult. There are people who are underestimating the kind of impact the Iran war will have in the future Quarters.

The Ministry of Finance has warned that States with revenue deficits and high debt burdens will find it harder to deal with fiscal shocks, including from the current crisis, leading to them either reprioritising expenditure away from productive areas, or approaching the Centre for more funds at a time when it is trying to consolidate its own finances.

I am all for peaceful existence and the preaching that follows. This being an era of no yudh as has been repeatedly reiterated.... However, instances like these that do not involve subsequent steps only tend to invite more such jabs. The Nepalese are clearly aware that doing so would cause a controversy and proceeded to do so anyway. There exists a certain level of confidence in the neighbourhood that there would be little backlash apart from that online. The GoI really needs to have a look at how its MEA has been conducting business. There is an art to ignoring slights. However, certain steps taken should have some tangible warnings associated with them.

The airline is owned by the Government in case you are wondering.

The Government has notified the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Rules, 2026, which will come into force from tomorrow, marking a significant step in regulating India’s rapidly expanding online gaming sector. The Rules operationalise the provisions of the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, aimed at ensuring user safety while promoting innovation and growth in the industry. The new framework introduces a complete ban on online money games, including those based on chance, skill, or a mix of both. It also prohibits their advertisement and financial transactions linked to such platforms. It added that violations may attract stringent penalties, including imprisonment and fines.

The Rules establish the Online Gaming Authority of India as a unified regulator under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The Authority will classify online games, oversee compliance, address user grievances, and coordinate enforcement with financial institutions and law enforcement agencies. The Rules also introduce a registration system for certain categories of games, along with mandatory user safety measures like age verification, time limits, and parental controls. A two-tier grievance redressal system has been put in place, enabling users to approach the Authority and further appeal before the Appellate Authority. Penalty proceedings will be conducted digitally and are to be resolved within a stipulated time frame.

The government said the Rules aim to create a safe, transparent, and accountable digital gaming ecosystem. The framework is expected to boost the creative economy, generate employment, and position India as a global leader in responsible gaming regulation while safeguarding users from financial and social risks associated with online money gaming.
