Let me tell you a bit of history.... BJP used to vote for congress in past to keep CPM away...... At times openly...... BJP does not have cadre strength to create one..... To make things worse, common people in Kerala look at RSS as a terror organisation, because of the bad name they got by fighting CPM..... CPM is the party which initiatted this, but since they are in power off an on they had other means to cover this..... But not with BJP....



BJP cannot rule Kerala with out getting support of either a christian based or Muslim based political party...... Their strength in North and Centre kerala is very high.....



They made some head way..... There were some positive statements from influential priests in kerala.... But mind you... Christians are not united as well... They have more factions than hindu castes all together..... :)

According to Rss, Guru Gowalkar. They have 3 enemies
1. Muslims
2. Christians
3. Communists

What would BJP achieve by choosing Muslims and Christians over Communists ? Its BJP agenda will only weaken further in Kerala.
Even if BJP comes to power with the help of Muslims and Christians, it will only lose in the long run. Since Kerala has a special demography, OBC SC ST(especially Ezhava vote is very crucial).
In Tripura muslims are only 9%, but in Kerala Hindus are only 52%, Muslims 28% and Christians 20%.

Media in Kerala is one of the strongest..... You talk about Arnab, here you have several arnabs in different channels... You even have a Barkha dutt.... Lolz...... Kerala is a place where you have news paper and news channel for every political or religious parties..... followed by 2 big news outlets who decide the agenda...... And every keralite reads news paper, and their level of understanding on politics is in a different level..... I am talking about villages and b and c class cities.....Their political knowledge is more or less if not the same level of A class city population.....

I guess time will be the best judge for this. if there is no presence in media and channels it can be created or bought.

I mentioned that to show thats its tough but not impossible, religious combination is stacked against BJP but can be managed .

Not that easy....... Media can be bought..... But the prob is there are established media for every party there to counter it......

The prob is, CPM support is majorly from Hindu Eazhava community.... What BJP tried by aligning with SNDP was to take out the share from them to damage CPM, By doing that they will indirectly support congress...... Who will get more seats, may not be getting the desired vote share ...... Amit shah has been pulling surprises though.....

2.5% of whole indian population, 50% below voting age. Considering 60% voter turnout.... in kerela, 19% state population...... Do the math... plus there are plenty of keralites who support BJP. Ex, current IT minister.

A committee set up by the Karnataka State Minorities Commission (KSMC) to study the demand by the Lingayatcommunity for a separate minority religion status has reportedly finalised its recommendations. It will be endorsing the demand for a separate religion status to the Lingayats.

In what its critics allege as a desperate gambit to divide the electorally influential Veershaiva-Lingayat community, the Congress government in Karnataka made a reference to the Karnataka State Minorities Commission to set up a committee to study the demand for separate religion status made by a section of Lingayat community. The committee was headed by retired High Court judge Justice N S Nagamohan Das The members of the commission included Kannada Development Authority chairperson SG Siddaramaiah, Professor Ramakrishna Marathe, and head of Kannada Language Chair at Jawaharlal Nehru University Purushotham Bilimane
The committee is said to have submitted its report to the Minorities Commission late on Friday (2 March).

Quoting sources within the government, The Times of Indiareports that will most likely agree to the recommendation of the commission as a part of ruling Congress party's electoral strategy to divide.

In a slight departure from its time-tested divisive social engineering model of keeping the caste cauldron in the state simmering by pitting the dominant castes against a conglomeration of other castes that goes by AHINDA(Kannada acronym for minorities, backward classes and Dalits), ruling Congress party has mounted an effort to foment the fault lines between Veerashaivas and Lingayats. A motley group of Congress leaders and seers embarked upon a campaign for 'separate religion' for Lingayats.

The Veerashaiva-Lingayat community has been traditionally rallying behind the BJP since the unceremonious sacking of well respected Veerendra Patil from the post of Chief Minister by Rajiv Gandhi and emergence of B S Yedyurappa as the tallest BJP leader in the state.

When I was in my early 20's thinking about unseating lalu from bihar was a dream. His MY equation along with backward was invincible. Then comes nitish kumar who along with BJP divided lalus core vote bank and created a new votebank for himself. Similarly in West Bengal and now in North East many forts were destroyed with meticulous planning and impeccable implementation.

Whenever I meet anyone from TN or Kerala I hear that they vote differently . I sat they vote like this be aise they haven't found any alternative. It's been 2 players each election and slowly things would change if there is a credible alternative provided to them.. I am out of this thread now. Too much of politics for this week.

Hmm.. Just wondering what exactly BJP has to loose in Andhra? 2 seats? I think you are forgetting that Andhra has only 25 MPs in Loksabha, not 42. Basically your state simply does not have the political muscle it used to have. So just chill. You can't play the role of kingmaker any more than a KCR or Shivsena.
The demand for money from center is absolutely rubbish.Andhra does not have any special rights over the central fund. Why should 10s of billions of dollars will be spent on a new capital city when crores of Indians still lack basic facilities?? You folks want a capital like Singapore? Good, but then build it with your own money!! Stop asking for handouts from center or blackmailing the central government.

Yes it is a pandora's box, this will start more movements for independent religions. The 9 crore Lingayats generate more than enough tax and GDP, they also have the lands.
Even Vokkalingas will follow suit.

This is not about minority institutions, but about division of tax and revenue collected. The tax and GDP generated by Lingayats is being cornered by others.

Great reasoning . By that token , the West and South of this nation generate more revenue than the North and East . Should we secede ? Also , certain communities generate more tax revenues in terms of IT vis a vis other communities , so should they cease paying tax ? I haven't even got to caste groupings . Should I ?

Lingayats are not ceding from India, they are only ceding from mainstream Hinduism by forming a sect. Just like starting a new business venture.
You are welcome to go into any caste grouping. Lingayats and others will only benefit from this, weather there is a minority law or not.

People generate money from society. You need workers and employees, and customers to create demand.

1. Their political power will increase, will no longer be cornered by BJP or Congress or Communists. They will have their own leaders.
2. Economic power will increase, as those certain communities that generate more tax revenues in terms of IT, which you have in mind will have a hard time. Because Lingayat society will try to replace those communities with their own business.

More than the Hindu vote at large, the BJP barely disguises its anti South bias.

That is where the main game is.
