Dynamatic Technologies are developing a VTOL surveillance UAV named "Cheel":


Cheel will carry an opto-electronic sensor package & will feed targeting data to this jet powered autonomous loitering munition:

The jet powered drone will have no radio control, can operate in GPS denied environments & will be jamming resistant.

Cheel looks almost identical to Ideaforge's Switch design.

Edit: which has already been inducted. Then there's Tata's ALS-50 that combines recon and strike in a single package. Imo, Cheel is redundant right out the door.

However, that jet-powered drone can certainly fill a niche as a high-speed recon/artillery fire correction and attack munition for the IA

LM-UAV status: NAL is now evaluating industry partners for this project under cost and risk sharing basis. Twenty-one companies have shown willingness to partner, including TATA and Adani.
