Islamic Republic of Afghanistan : News & Discussions

I would just use drones loitering over Taliban-held areas 24/7, picking them off for the rest of eternity and maybe have some UGVs too. Sort of like an advanced pigeon deterrent.
And where do you plan to station the drones & fly them from?

The muslims in Afghanistan openly speaking against Taliban that's known as reform, not just in Afghanistan but many places, this is what american did sitting there. Taliban Qaida abcedfg is an ideology. The more Muslims start accepting the western civilization the more the Islam gets diluted into it. This will also impact the 200 million muslims in India.

These westernized muslim may remain muslims but same time can't go back to caves and live like rest of the cult. Muslim mothers throwing their kids over the fence to americans to protect them from radical islamic cult whole world has seen those footages. It's a big psywar. They are proving a point.

Americans and british are very powerful people they hold resources all over the world including the Arab world. Without major money inflow no war can be fought.

And Russians are themselves catholic and orthodox. They will keep the check on americans but will not interfere in america's war against terror. Both of these countries have understanding at some different level which others are not even close.

Chinese will try to act to get access to water ways through Afghanistan parallel to CPEC Corridor and into Iran for the transportation and gas pipelines plus controlling the Uyghers. That's their only interest.
Some of these ppl may live in west & wear western suits but internally they are just cave dwellers, just knock them a bit it will come out in open. From a evolutionary perspective they havent moved beyond the primitive organizational skills, it is still bound by religion. Percentage of ppl who can think beyond religion to organize themselves into groups to achieve an object or aim is pretty less. What we see is luxury & lifestyle it should not be compared to thinking or culture per se. It is just motion not progress.

Based on your view saudi arabia or any other muslim country say egypt should have started thinking beyond religion as they had more exposure to west. But it hardly has happened. On the contrary more powerful forces have emerged in these countries fighting for restoration of medieval age!

Of course as I said already they will remain muslims. But there is a fact that many arab countries don't like Saudi araba or Emiratis. This friction is due to the money and capital saudis have. The Muslims are very well aware of the fact that saudis and emiratis never took any refugees.

The day US leaves Saudi, it will become another Afghanistan and Syria. Muslims will slaughter muslims there. They don't need others. In Islam there is a craze to become Khalif and its already mentioned in bible is this cult will be big but dumb.

Russia is allowing the US to fly from its bases, same bases it used in the first place. Both Russia and the US hate the Taliban more than each other.

Pakistan could probably be persuaded into it as well.

'Never again': Imran on allowing CIA to use Pak bases - Times of India

After hunting with the hounds & running with the hares for 2 decades the deep state in Pakistan finally achieves it's desired objective of installing the regime of their choice ( whether it's a wise move or not is something time will tell & is a subject of another discussion) & Paddy here would have us believe Pakistan can be co opted into acting against the Taliban.

This is exactly why I'm a very big votary & supporter of capital punishment & strongly advocate it be extended to cover foolishness as well. The world would definitely be a safer place.

That was for Paddy. If one begins to execute people for foolishness in Paxtan, there would be no Paxtan. In many ways the existence of Paxtan buttresses my argument in favor of capital punishment to be extended to cover foolishness before it infects the whole society. A cautionary tale if you like.
