Islamic Republic of Pakistan : News, Discussions & Updates

They know they need money and PRC/turkey/middle-east can't lend them further, they want their bowl to be filled with some dollars. This political turmoil is to get some attention from USA for financial aid.

China will remain their strategic partner, but it also wants its loan to be repaid on time. This army-political war internally is a plot to divert the attention from the financial crisis.

The political crisis is real. Dimran was supposed to be the face of the foreign policy of Fauji foundation which is to mend ties with both India & the US & by extension the West so as to buy Paxtan & fauji foundation breathing space, time & extra dollars. Instead Dimran being Dimran followed his half wit agenda & further damaged already damaged relations with all the above mentioned entities.

I've a feeling things between him & fauji foundation will escalate in the near future. Things aren't going to end well for him.

Agree with the rest of your points.

Linked this video here more for the acronym & less for the discussion though the discussion is good. You take P out of the acronym & suddenly the acronym & the entire grouping acquires a certain mundaneness that the addition of Paxtan doesn't bring.

2 ISI agent arrested in US

I guess imran is still looking to talk to Biden..

Why else ISI want to have contact with secret Service of security to President, are they plotting something sinister?

They were obviously plotting something sinister, the question is 'what'. You don't impersonate federal agents to do something legitimate.

Now while we've seen this tamasha before, I suspect Bajwa ke bund is planning something very ambitious here - he's planning to re commence peace talks with India & rehabilitate Pakistan with the West at the same timetime , using their "good offices , " which could well come to pass if India continues resistance to Western attempts to co opt it in it's isolation of Russia, who'd then use this as stick to beat India with but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's consider the immediate ground situation & what Bajwa le bund has in store for Paxtan in the months ahead.

The timing couldn't be more fortuitous. Dimran's fate will be sealed today with elections being held in July & another selected dummy in office by August.

The aim seems to be to get another extension post November when Bajwa le bund's current extension expires which incidentally was one of the reasons why Lt Gen Faiz ( backed by an unknown number of senior PA officers) , said to be the main bone of contention between the Bajwa le bund faction in the PA fell out with Dimran who allegedly wanted Faiz to replace Bajwa.

If Bajwa le bund is successful this would probably be the first time an army chief has got 2 extensions without being the head of state unlike Ayub Khan, Zia & Mussharaf. This would signal a new trend in PA politics of an army man driving the politics of the nation without heading it - a de facto dictator if you will.

Well, by the looks of it, it's certainly a smart plan but the variables are plenty beginning with how effective a control Bajwa le bund has on the PA & the amount of nuisance value Dimran raises by rousing the street. Then there's the issue of selecting a suitable dummy in Dimran's place post July elections.

Please note , there's a section of ex generals & serving ones who're backing Dimran today.

Can anyone explain what all the recent commotion is about. Khan peaked my interest a few days back when I saw an article on Yahoo where he blamed the west for some no confidence vote, and then all this stuff about Balochistan???

Focus on Ukraine or the French Presidential election . They're more entertaining . Pakistan is Comedy Central 24x7 . What's happening now is a stale joke being retold . Any interesting development later on this year & we'd definitely inform you .
