In Pakistan, nothing moves without the permission of the PAK ARMY, So Bajwa is the person who planned everything and now we will wait to see what the next move is. Shahbaz Sharif is also going through the corruption cases and Pak ARMY will tuple his govt when they want... through the same Supreme court. Only when all political parties will be together they can fight against PAK ARMY. IK should have an understanding with Nawaz Sharif for future events.
More chances that Dimran will end up as Zulfi Bhutto than as part of opposition unity efforts.
Besides a significant section of his supporters are with him for his perceived clean image coz they equally detest or perhaps do so with a greater vehemence the Sharifs, the Zardari Bhuttos & the other parties including the religious parties for their corruption, nepotism, incompetence etc.than they like Dimran.
Striking parallels with the Gandhis & to a lesser or equal extent the regional caste based parties & the middle classes here .
If Dimran teams up with the opposition , his supporters will eat him alive. In any case he has antagonised more people in the opposition than any sitting PM except Z A Bhutto. To make matters worse he's now antagonised a section of the PA too plus if rumours are to be believed he's receiving support from one faction moving so far as to attempt to sack Bajwa le bund. He's a marked man.
There's a pending decision on foreign funding case against IK. If that decision comes, he can be debarred from running for elections for life even.
I hope IK starts the container drama soon. Whoever comes to power we should talk through the back door channel and all the export should be done through ports to avoid any media publicity. Modi should avoid any meetings with his Pakistan counterpart since all of them are ARMY puppets...
The next few months will be very tough. As the new government will need to roll back huge subsidies given recently by IK. And after that go to IMF to rectify things and further increase taxes and lower development spending. Increase rates, slow down the consumption.
This is hugely unpopular moves which are necessary for survival of Pakistan as an entity. So in my opinion the leaders will still say that No talks to India till Kashmir is granted statehood etc.
At least for the short term I don't expect things to improve.
For IK, his party actually has a very good following in Non residential Pakistanis, and families related to armed forces. If he decides to stir things up, it will only create difficulties.
And next election will not be easy. An entity not in play at this time will have a very large voter base. And their main streaming will further complicate things.
Not only that,he is the first ever Pak pm who dumped US in favour of some one else, he literally thrown out US from the region and spread legs for china. Actually it prevented Pak getting weapons from West. Hope the new pm also will do the same.
How much ik is important to China is known from the cry from pravin Sawhney .
China now hold most of Pakistani military equipment and they will not leave Pakistan that easily to go into the American block…like France if china wants to tighten the screw it will be a big pain to pak army.I don’t believe these changes happened due to American interference rather it’s due to the rough relation between Bajwa and IK.so who ever comes to power will just continue the same planning without much noise like IK.
Looks like I will have to cancel Netflix subscription until July. The real game of thrones has started and PTI seems to be only party in paxtan’s history to give a tough fight to PA, ironically due to Imran khan’s unpopular move of extending Bajwa.
Whoever takes the reigns, it will take very compromised policies to revive paxtan which may not be popular with radicalised population.
