Pakistan Army official neutralized while defusing IED in Waziristan

RAWALPINDI - Pakistan Army soldier embraced martyrdom while neutralising an improvised explosive device (IED) in the North Waziristan Agency on Wednesday, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The Pakistan Army engineer’s team had detected the device that was planted near Datta Khel during a routine scanning.

The body of Lance Havaldar Irfan Ali has been sent to his home town.

On April 15, at least two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred and 12 injured in a cross-border skirmish along the Pak-Afghan border late on Saturday night, said a statement by the ISPR .

Originating from Afghanistan’s Khost province, the attack targeted FC troops conducting routine surveillance near the Laka Teega check-post in Lower Kurram Agency.

According to the ISPR , the security officials have countered the attack while ensuring there were no civilian casualties.

Three Chinese held after downing drone over new Islamabad airport

ISLAMABAD- Authorities on Thursday arrested three Chinese nationals after shooting down an unidentified drone over the newly constructed Islamabad airport.

The foreign nationals were trying to film the new airport using the drone when the officials of Airport Security Force (ASF) noticed the device and shot down it.

Later, the officials arrested the suspects and took the wreckage into custody. An investigation has been launched into the matter.

Landmine Kills Soldier In North Waziristan

MIRANSHAH: A Pakistan Army soldier has died while he was defusing a bomb in tehsil Datta Khel in North Waziristan.

Initial reports from security officials said that a soldier Mazhar was trying to neutralize a landmine when it went off. As result he lost his life. Clearing Fata particularly North and South Waziristan Agencies from landmines has become a serious challange for Pakistan army.

On Tuesday, another soldier Lance Havaldar Irfan Ali had lost his life while defusing a bomb in the same area.

Hundreds of people have become victims to landmines in North and South Waziristan and tribal people called it a hidden enemy.

One of the major demands of recently erupted Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) is removal of landmines from tribal areas especially North and South Waziristan as they have claimed many lives.

Following an incident involving an Indian girl who embraced Islam and married a Pakistani man, a young man from her country was reported missing in Lahore on Saturday.

Amarjit Singh, a 24-year-old resident of Amritsar, had arrived in Pakistan along with other Sikh pilgrims to celebrate Baisakhi festival on April 12.

His disappearance was only noticed when the entourage he came along with embarked upon the return journey to India.

Amarjit’s passport, like other pilgrims, was with the officials of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), who immediately informed the high officials when Amarjit failed to collect it within the stipulated time.

2 Hazara men gunned down in 'targeted attack' in Quetta: police

Two men belonging to the Hazara community were killed, while a third was injured in an incident of firing in Quetta's Western Bypass area on Sunday.

Police sources said unknown miscreants opened fire and killed two people identified as Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Zaman. One person was wounded as result of firing, the sources said. The injured was rushed to Bolan Medical Complex, Quetta, for treatment.

Police said the victims were members of the Hazara community and that the incident appeared to be a targeted attack.

The assailants escaped unhurt from the spot after the attack. Police and other law enforcement personnel reached the spot as an investigation into the incident was initiated.

Attacks against Hazaras in Quetta have seen a spike recently, with this attack being the second this week alone. A shopkeeper was gunned down in the provincial capital earlier this week while another Hazara man was killed in the beginning of April.

Five police personnel killed in Quetta suicide bombing

QUETTA: Five police personnel were martyred in the third suicide bombing in Quetta Tuesday evening, said the Inter-Services Public Relations.

The latest suicide bombing, on the city's Airport Road, left seven other police personnel injured.

Two suicide bombers were earlier killed by the security forces in the city's Mian Ghundi area, said the military's media wing.

The bombers had attempted to target a Frontier Corps post near the Western Bypass.

The area was cordoned off immediately after the incident.

Unfortunately Pakistanis will feel proud after reading this, a sense of achievement without even thinking how it affects their day to day life.

They don't even want to know that there are plenty of nuclear countries but only a few regularly makes it to media, one of them is Pakistan. This is not an achievement but bad press, infact very bad press that destroy a nations credibility even among the most liberal ones, the one they expect to back Pakistan against India.

Pakistan have nobody else to blame but stupid politicians, jingoistic and lying educational system and media.

I wonder what's it between the Pakistanis & Americans ? Every time a Pakistani sees one , the only aim seems to be how many more dollars can I extract from the Americans ? Then they've run into the Chinese with pretty much the same strategy in mind . Not knowing that's precisely the same strategy the Chinese are adopting vis a vis Pakistanis. As the Pakistanis are discovering now to their horror .

That part can be contested .For every one Pakistani , I've come across with whom one can have a civil conversation , there are two who see us as an antithesis of them - as someone to be tolerated at best and dominated / destroyed at worst .

The poison being disseminated in their curricula for the past 4 decades is finally bearing poisonous fruits . PDF is only one manifestation of this brain washing.
