Israel, US Strike Iran After Weeks Of Warning, Explosions Heard In Tehran

People will revolt only if they are Hungry
You severely underestimate many kinds of Iranians. Plus, do know quite a few kids died. If anything, present Mullah regime is going to get stronger.

PS : I do not like Iran or its mullah at all, but trump is being a bigger moron here.

They can rebuild all that.

Even that thing about destroying and disabling launchers, they are just trucks. Okay, TELs, but still just trucks. They cost half a mil to a couple of mil.

What about the surviving missile stockpile? And the people who can rebuild all that?

Bombing without a ground invasion only works if the goal is to destroy even civilian production and energy infrastructure.

Trump Says U.S. Bombs ‘Obliterated’ Military Targets on Kharg Island
The Pentagon is moving a Marine expeditionary unit to the gulf. Five U.S. Air Force refueling planes were struck at a U.S. air base in Saudi Arabia

Five US Air Force refueling planes were struck and damaged on the ground at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing two US officials.

The planes, which were hit during an Iranian missile strike on the Saudi base in recent days, were damaged but not fully destroyed and are being repaired, the Journal says, adding that no one was killed in the strikes.

Pretty much. This war stopped going anywhere.

All it's done is destroy a few defense systems that do not work in the first place, and in exchange put the global energy sector at risk.

Only China's ready to make the move away from oil at the fastest rate. Their emissions from energy and industry peaked last year while energy consumption grew. Transportation fuel demand has also peaked since 2024.

I don't think the US and Israel will actually achieve their regime change goal without a ground invasion.

Did they get their idea from Op Sindoor? But India has an army acting as leverage to force a surrender. What's is America's leverage?

Iran was Weeks away from a nuclear weapon

They themselves said it in meetings

Secondly this missile stockpile would have grown up to 8000 in a few years according to Israeli estimates

They are calling this operation as
MOWING The Grass

Which we know has to be done periodically

Sri Lankan officials said they were surprised when the Dena and two other Iranian ships asked in late February to drop in at short notice. After the United States and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28, Sri Lanka stalled, fearing that admitting them would affect its neutrality on the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran and threaten its security.

Even as its boats and helicopters rescued stricken sailors from the Dena, the government took another day before deciding to shelter the Bushehr, an aging fleet-supply vessel that was requesting safe haven. By then the third, an Iranian landing ship called the Lavan, was already docked in a port in neighboring India.

Sri Lanka and Iran share friendly ties, but the former’s wariness upset Iranian officials, who felt that it left the Bushehr exposed to a follow-up attack, according to two people with direct knowledge of the diplomatic conversations. They asked not to be identified because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

The Sri Lankan government was unable to reach a quick decision, weighing its national interests against its obligations under international law to help a vessel in distress.

The government’s trepidation illustrated the challenge many countries face as they try to avoid incurring the Trump administration’s wrath.

Iran called the attack on the Dena an “atrocity.” Pete Hegseth, the U.S. secretary of defense, reveled in the torpedoing of an Iranian warship that “thought it was safe in international waters,” one of more than 50 Iranian warships the U.S. said it has destroyed.

For Sri Lanka — a small country of 22 million people that has endured political corruption and strife, crushing national debt and a devastating cyclone last year — a geopolitical misstep could cause further economic damage.

Kharg lies 16 miles (26 km) off Iran’s coast, roughly 300 miles (483 km) northwest of the Strait of Hormuz. It functions as the export terminal for 90% of Iran’s oil shipments.

The island has ample oil storage capacity. Pipelines connected to the island are also linked by sea to several of Iran’s biggest oil and gas fields.

Crude oil reaches the terminal from three large offshore fields: Aboozar, Forouzan and Dorood. From there, it travels through an underwater pipeline system to processing plants on land before being stored or shipped to international markets, Al Jazeera reported, citing the Iranian ministry of petroleum.

It also houses three major energy facilities run by the Iranian oil ministry. One of them is Falat Iran Oil Company, which produces 500,000 barrels of crude oil daily and is viewed as the biggest among the country’s four main oil producing refineries, according to a report by The New York Times.

Iran being close to nukes is BS. They have been repeating that for years. They no longer had the centrifuges since last year's bombing.

It's clear that without a ground invasion, things won't change much.

They can't repeat this endlessly either. If the regime continues, they will only become more dangerous because both Russia and China will start arming them with real conventional capabilities. Then the next time the Israelis wanna mow the grass, they will end up having to contend with snakes too, not just moles.

They have to resolve it this time, the energy sector cannot handle a next time.

I don't want a young one like you to jump to conclusions that people as old & biased as me reach merely coz we've been around.

That's the reason I want you to parse thru his entire ouevre running a fine hair comb through all his analyses before you reach an informed decision & pronounce like Yamraj does on whether that eminent historian is guilty as I hold him to be .

Once again why would I colour your opinions with my lens ? You seem the intelligent kind . Someone who doesn't take things for granted & demands evidence . Had you been blessed with lesser IQ , I would have definitely consider your request & complied with it .

Since you're obviously the intelligent & perceptive kind you should be able to reach your own decision which would be independent devoid of any perception bias based on an informed analyses of his entire content for one can't base ones judgement on a podcast here or there or even on certain opinions expressed in a podcast .

That wouldn't give you a holistic picture of what that eminent historian stands for or his views or even his world view. After all one swallow does not a summer make !

Answered this one above.

Once again I reiterate the need for you to reach an independent conclusion . I mean why would you want me to spoon feed you . That's what less intelligent & lazy folk do .

I'm old . Old people don't need a reason to hate on someone . They just diss a person because they can . It's the young who ought to take the lead & debunk all such silly notions the old have.

American Indians used to follow a simple principle when raising their kids . They let the toddler explore everything in their environment & wouldn't interfere unless there was a genuine threat to the kid's life.

For example if there was a fire burning & the kid crawled to it & stuck his hand in the fire , that kids folks didn't ever stop the kid. The child then would learn to respect fire & never ever forget the incident for the rest of his life . Ditto for whenever the kid saw an animal & decided to stick his finger into the animal's rear .

Since my folks didn't bring me that way I'm all the poorer as far as understanding first principles go . I don't want you & other youngsters as intelligent perceptive & sensitive as you to have that kind of sheltered life.
I didn't laugh at your post to spite @batman , i just liked your way of writing. However I do think that, at least in public, you dislike stepping back irrespective of whether you're right or wrong, and being an old and mature guy 😀 I'm sure that you're quite aware of it.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply, it's cool that you're open to being proven wrong, and I appreciate the no-rush vibe. That said, the "watch his entire oeuvre first" approach still feels like shifting the burden: if the claims (especially heavy ones like him being a "Han con man" or having CCP/MSS connections) are based on real issues in his content, there should be specific examples, clips, timestamps, or patterns you can point to right now without me having to marathon everything.

If the "con man" or operative angle comes from a particular video where he lies, pushes verifiable BS, hides affiliations, or something else concrete, just drop that one example (link/timestamp/quote). We can zero in on it, fact-check together, and actually "discuss threadbare" like you suggested. Otherwise, it risks coming across as guilt-by-background suspicion rather than evidence-based critique. Genuinely curious what flipped the switch for you cause you are starting to seem like someone who makes absurd claims who can't back it up the moment he starts getting questioned about said claims, hit me with it when you can.
Someone said that that chnk said Israelis were burning their own homes and blaming it on the attacks to claim insurance if he has indeed said that then he is retarded.

He covered a protest in China in 2002 and was deported back to Canada cuz of that, now he is a professor at Beijing, so excuse some of us if we are rather skeptical of his views because China doesn't necessarily take you back when you don't conform to their objectives.

This is Not the Last time

The Regime will NOT fall

And it will go back to its old ways
