Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

Pakistan has no intention of "breaking apart" India and only has interest in Kashmir liberation. That's something Pakistan has supported and will continue to support, no matter what.
Resolution of Kashmir will not solve anything between us. We're too antagonistic when we inhabit our lands though we're more friendly when we meet each other in a western country.

Take a hypothetical situation of India capturing POK. Will we stop there? No. We'll be more emboldened to gain influence in Afg and weaken you. Did our enmity stop after 1971? No.

For Pak it's even more difficult to accept normalcy even if Kashmir is tackled because the whole conflict has religious undertones for PA, and PA will always try to weaken India.

It's like saying that now that Pak has got a lot of influence in Afg they'll be happy now. India, US and others know that things will get worse in terms of terrorism and PA's religious zeal.

Baloch and Pushtoons were given the right of referendum, and they voted to join Pakistan.
It's historical fact .
Kashmiris were never given that right. They were forcefully absorbed In India , because some Raja said so.
There's the difference between indian rubbish stance and Pakistans rightful position about Kashmir.
There's no rightful position from anyone. India offered to send troops to defend the Maharaja's kingdom if he gives his kingdom to us. Pak captured some of the Maharaja's lands and Nehru went to the UN.

There was no rightful reason for PA to invade J&K because you perceived that J&K will not come to India. PA unilaterally initiated the conflict by backing the tribesmen. The UN laid conditions that were never fulfilled. Arguments can go back and forth in this way and nothing will be resolved in an atmosphere of trust in the foreseeable future.

Morally he may not, but he was the only representative of the land that was available at that time. The accession to India will never be acceptable to Pakistan, and it has a religious angle to it.

The alienation of general Kashmiri Muslims has got a lot of backing from Pakistan. Of course we played a good part in it just like what happened in north-east India and with the Maoists.

But you know that you won't succeed one bit in changing anything on ground now. India might be able to pull off something though it might be a phyrrhic victory.

A pretty worthless position to be in for all, but that's how is going to be for some time.
