Interesting. As a sidenote, I've been trying to join the other place where you also posted this - but after I made an account it keeps saying that it sent a confirmation email, but nothing ever arrived. I don't have posting privileges there so I'm not allowed to make any posts asking for help/direction, do you think you could ask around and see what's happened?
Militants attack army camp in Uri
The militants were intercepted by the guards of the Uri camp as they tried to enter the premises.

Three to four Fidayeen Militants have attacked an Indian Army camp in Uri in Jammu and Kashmir. The camp at Mohra in Uri is near the Line of Control (LOC).
The fidayeen squad tried to force their way inside the Indian Army camp in Uri. However, the guards intercepted them at the gate.
The sentries (guards) of the army camp observed suspicious movement near the boundary wall of the camp at 3 am on Monday. They opened fire at the men moving around the camp suspiciously. The police have said that there may have been casualties during the exchange of fire but no dead bodies have been found as yet.
The area has been cordoned off and security forces are carrying out a search operation to nab the militants. It is suspected that the militants are hiding in a forest nearby.
Meanwhile, the security forces spotted two persons near a nallah close to the army camp. Both of them are currently being interrogated.
The search operation in the area is being carried out jointly by Indian Army and the police.
Jammu and Kashmir Police has issued a statement in this regard and confirmed the developments so far.

Terror attack on crpf convoy in Pulwama, 27 jawans martyred 
This attack seems to have been planned directly by ISI. There were continuous reports that Chenab Rangers have been replaced by PA regulars on LOC in Kashmir. I was wondering why it was being done and I had a feeling that they were planning something big in Kashmir. My assessment has come true. This attack is a provocation to force India to launch another series of surgical strikes but this time our guys will have a welcome party ready on the other side. This is a clear provocation and showing two fingers to India. Let us Hope we do not fall in their trap and keep calm and plan retribution at a time and place of our choosing in a manner which shocks the day lights out of Pakistan. I even fear a full fledged war if pakistan retaliates to our retribution.

Yup. I guess the countdown's begun. This is only going to get worse with the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. I would read it in conjunction with India heading into General Elections and a perception that the disarray in Indian politics indicates a lameduck Govt (read coalition) to others that provides a perfect opportunity for Pakistan to up the ante in Kashmir.
Relevant to note that it was a Fidayeen attack as per what is being told right now, coming in the backdrop of the easing of pressure over Taliban.
India will have no option but to use specific means to deal with the situation arising in Afghanistan short of full scale deployment of troops, which I consider a very bad idea indeed until and unless we do it in conjunction with a UN mandate and while taking Russian, Iranians and US on board.
Pertinent to note that Iranians have sustained a similar attack in the area of Baluchistan-Sistan, so, Iranian willingness to buffer against Pakistan providing proxies to GCC/US in the region may be quite readily available.
Lets see how things pan out. But expect a retaliation, by overt or covert means, definitely.

Last month several Pakistani soldiers were killed in PoK Tattapani sector including atleast 4 high ranked officers in MBRL and heavy artillery attacks.... this is a direct retaliation for that attack.
