Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

I fear nothing is gonna happen....we've been far too soft on these Kashmiri pigs all along, that's why this happened.

I think withdrawal of the mfn status can hit about 1 bn in damages because they will have to opt for more expensive suppliers. They’re going to imf with begging bowl and this ain’t gonna help

Continuous protest in NCR, multiple in a day, yesterday, today, effigy burning, thundering slogans. Never seen so many spontaneous unorganized protests except for Anna Hunger strike, people feeling proud to join them, volunteering, angry. Mood is tensed all over the country, today's meeting and bureaucratic pen pushing is just making them angrier and testing patience, they want blood, a lot of it.
I am trying to gather support locally here in Vancouver. We will like to protest in front of Chinese and Pakistani Consulate. From what I gather, some people are demanding NDP candidate Jagmeet Singh to publicly denounce Pakistan for supporting terrorist activities in India.

could be just noise.. no intel reports coming from anywhere.. either nothing is happening or they are ultra secretive..
Any action, if at all, will be delayed. It will happen after a wait of 3-4 months. Indian defence for all its exercises still need that much time to get ready for action.

Saw some videos of public harassing the people who celebrated the pulwama attacks. Makes you think, there is radical change in mindset of people so much so that those who tolerated Kanhaiya and gang anti India sloganeering were out for blood today.

Feels good to see people are able to see thru lefty cover provided for justification of terrorism. Planting sympathy stories, building narrative, gathering self claimed "intellectuals" supports and then going to a set politician, then fixing debates in particular ideology and loaded questions, editorial fixing.

All these steps were taken and in few days a petty terrorist was presented as innocent warrior, son of a headmaster killed by criminal Indians. None of it is working now, lefties are having meltdown, getting thrashed, getting called out loud and very clearly in public by public. With this kind of attitude closet jihadis will soon find themselves suffocating and most probably killing themselves for real.

I have been following google maps for last two days and what I see is that all the loading areas of our strike corps have been blanked out by google. be it Mathura Cantt or Babina Cantt. Google shows those areas covered with some kind of layered thing.
I was tempted to get a scan on these area using commercial satellite services but I doubt posting such information on internet is wise right now.

First, I don't have it right now. It can be ordered online by anyone for about 500 to 1000 USD. My worry is more on the lines of next time I visit India or the order itself raising some suspicion.

That's expensive, better donate that money to bharat ke veer portal if you are interested or donate to some poor and needy, plenty of schools need some. Our entertainment is not that big a priority, will feel guilty if you post them and I saw them.

After revoking MFN status, India hikes import duty for Pakistani goods to 200 percent

The Union government has hiked the basic customs duty on all goods imported from the neighbouring country to 200 percent with immediate effect.

This comes after India revoked the 'Most Favoured Nation' (MFN) status to Pakistan on February 15 following the Pulwama terror strike, that killed 50 CRPF jawans.

"India has withdrawn MFN status to Pakistan after the Pulwama incident. Upon withdrawal, basic customs duty on all goods exported from Pakistan to India has been raised to 200% with immediate effect," Finance Minister Arun Jaitely said in a tweet.

India granted the MFN status to Pakistan in 1996, but the neighbouring country had not reciprocated. Under the MFN pact, a WTO member country is obliged to treat the other trading nation in a non-discriminatory manner, especially with regard to customs duty and other levies.

Increasing duties would significantly hit Pakistan's exports to India, which stood at $488.5 million (around Rs 3,482.3 crore) in 2017-18. The main items which Pakistan exports to India include fresh fruits, cement, petroleum products, bulk minerals and ores and finished leather.

The two main items imported from Pakistan are fruits and cement, on which the current customs duty is 30-50 percent and 7.5 percent, respectively. Slapping an import duty of 200 percent effectively means almost banning the imports from Pakistan, official sources told PTI.

India can also restrict trade of certain goods and impose port-related restrictions on Pakistani goods.

Total India-Pakistan trade has increased marginally to $2.41 billion in 2017-18 as against $2.27 billion in 2016-17. India imported goods worth $488.5 million in 2017-18 and exported goods worth $1.92 billion.
During April-October 2018-19, India's exports to Pakistan stood at $1.18 billion, while imports were $338.66 billion.

Navjot Singh Sidhu met with harsh criticism after he spoke about the Pulwama terror attack.
Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, a member of The Kapil Sharma Show, has been asked to leave the popular television comedy talk show following his comments on the Pulwama terror attack. He will be replaced by Archana Puran Singh on the show.

“His remarks have not been taken kindly by most. Also, the channel and the show was getting dragged into the unwanted controversy. This is when the team amicably decided that Navjot make a distance from the show. The team has already shot a couple of episodes with Archana,” a source told indianexpress.com.
