Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

Salute to him indeed.

What is ancient motherland? I have heard of motherland but ancient motherland?

At PDF Pakistanis used to call Kashmir Muslim Land and clamied to be it's right full owner. The Jaichand(s) from India agreed with them. I used to tell them, Kashmir is ancient Hindustan Land. The Land and People are India(ns). To counter them, I've been using 'Ancient Motherland' to describe Kashmir.

Soldiers from 6th Mahar were injured today.

Wonder if Jignesh Mevani is declaring elgaar or sharing bed with khalid!
The said soldier maybe from the Mahar Regiment not from the same caste . Jignesssbhai is only a leader for the Dalits , as of now representing a particular constituency aspiring for bigger things , not just restricted to being THE DALIT LEADER of Gujarat .

Why do you need to justify anything to Pakistani's? They are brain washed so deeply that no matter what term you use they won't even bother reading.

Also why to get defensive when Pakistanis call Kashmir ancient muslim land? Anyone who knows about history of Kashmir or world for that matter will know how "ancient" are Islamic sites. And as far as possession of Kashmir goes, yes we are the rightful owners both morally and legally and no amount of lies peddled by religious bigots can change that.

I tried to be rational with them & drilled some sense in them but with experience learned not to do so, waste of time and energy.

Here we go again. One can't even wish for President Rule in Jammu and Kashmir. The current lot 'center government) is Incompetent to deal with the situation, so were their Predecessors.

Is there anyone who knows whether we have operationalized Su-30's w/ cruise missiles yet? It's time to ratchet things up a little.

300 militants in Pakistan ready to enter India: Army

JAMMU: More than 300 militants are waiting across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan to infiltrate into India, the Army said on Wednesday, adding that the Pakistan Army played a key role in planning terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.

Lt Gen Devraj Anbu told the media at the Udhampur headquarters of the Army's Northern Command: "(A total of) 185-220 terrorists in the south and 190-225 terrorists in the north of Peer Panjal are ... ready for infiltration."

The officer said the Pakistan Army had a direct role in planning terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, which is divided between India and Pakistan.

Asked about possible Indian retaliation against the terror attack on the Sunjuwan Army camp in the state, he said, "Operating along the LoC is quite complex and challenging. I do not feel that we really need to do tit for tat."

He added: "We plan our strategy and we will continue with this."

Speaking on ceasefire violations by Pakistan, he said 192 Pakistani soldiers were killed in Indian retaliation.
"They admitted only six or seven deaths in two incidents, but our sources said that number is big," he said.

Why not start using cruise missiles to take those camps out when the terrorists congregate there? Just treat it as routine maintenance. We're already experts in showing dossiers, so just strike these targets when they're ripe and hand over proof to the international community afterwards...

Suspected militant killed, policeman injured in grenade attack in Kashmir’s Tral

A suspected militant was killed and a policeman injured on Monday after militants lobbed a grenade at a police station in Tral of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, officials said.

“A terrorist Mushtaq Chopan died in grenade explosion when challenged by sentry while trying to escape from police station Tral,” director general of state police SP Vaid wrote on Twitter.

Sources in the police said Chopan was under detention in a “terror-related case” and added that the injured policeman is stable.

Further details about the circumstances of Chopan’s death and the grenade attack are awaited.

The attack comes a day after two policemen were killed by militants in two separate attacks -- one, a selection grade constable guarding the famous Chrar-e-Sharif shrine in Budgam district and the second, a constable posted as a guard outside the residence of separatist leader Fazal Haq Qureshi.
