Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

Jammu has a very large number of Hindus who came from Pakistan in 1947 and were not citizens of J&K. These hindus are living in Border areas and are our first line of defence in Jammu region. They now number over ten lakh. Similarly, Maharaja of J&K had brought in lot of Gorkha soldiers from Nepal for employment alongwith Dogra troops who were assured citizenship of J&K. But after 1947, Sheikh Abdulla and Nehru colluded to deny citizenship to these Hindus and Gorkhas. If you grant them citizenship, Hindus+Gorkhas will become majority in J&K and muslims wiill be down to about 48% of the population. Plus the delimitation will ensure that nearly 65% of all seats are given to Jammu+Ladakh regions due to area and population.
NC & PDP have always been part of either govts in center and have effectively blocked the delimitation exercise. Atal Charpayi had support of PDP/NC in 1999 and denied the delimitation under their pressure.

Then the present GoI will be attempting too many things in one go. Granting of citizenship to those Hindus in Jammu displaced during Partition as well as empanneling a Delimitation Committee. This is going to set the Valley ablaze. While I'm all for it, I hope this government also considers the fact that the NRC in Assam & the CAB has already ruffled a lot of feathers. I just hope they don't add too many to their plate. For, in case they initiate steps to grant citizenship to those stateless Hindus and launch the DC, PA will step in, however bad their economy. This time, if hostilities are initiated, they have to be taken to its logical outcome & concluded to our satisfaction on our terms. Hence, a bit more prudence and calibration is called for.

Assam is different from Jammu Region. The Hindus in Jammu have family relations with these Hindus who came from Pakistan. The first act of this govt will most likely be to remove 35A, paving the way to grant citizenship to these hindus in J&K. This will be followed by delimitation and elections. After that 370 will be addressed. Just remember that valley based parties have failed to win even one seat outside the valley in GE2019.
Removing 35A will also allow the women married outside J&K and their children to claim resident status in J&K, move their EPIC to J&K and even change the demography of the valley itself. Daughters of Kashmiri Pandits, thier spouses and children will get voting rights in Valley. And they can decide over 10 seats in valley.

The decision to make Kashmir valley an exclusive place for muslims was taken jointly by Abdulla+Nehru+Kashmiri Pandits in 1947. They decided that every Hindu who was a citizen of then J&K must be sent to Jammu only and not allowed to settle in J&K. KPs are reaping rewards of the treachery they did with rest of Hindu population. Don't cry for them. They enginneered it and asked for it.
