It's not because your Yoghurt official limited life is 7th of february than you take a big risk to eat it the 8.

During a war situation even the obsolete weapons will be used. Succesfully or not.
 
LCA model in Russian TsAGI Aerodynamics Institute in 1995 during the visit of the ambassodor of India in Russia Mr. San. The mokup is the wind tunnel AT-105 for tail--spin and aerodynamic tests under the contract signed in 1993

Is it true that helmet mounted display(HMD) having a greater advantage over head-up display (HUD)? what Tejas test pilot was saying he can lock the target by just looking at target whereas in HUD the fighter plane nose should be behind the fighter plane or the enemy plane should be between radar search angle.

YES. The HMD is able to "guide" the weapon system of the bird in the direction of the pilot head. Or to guide the seeker of a missile in the direction of the pilot head to hook a target before to be fired.

But is it so effective? French air force decided not to use it as for now. For weight reason it's sure (too heavy). Maybe for cost also.

yes. I believe this is A differnce between LCA and JF 17. Plus, even the canon has a look and shoot to a significant extent in LCA. For JF 17 you need to align the whole plane (like how the SPitfire had to do in WW2) to take a shot

I don’t think fighter plane guns can turn like a helicopter-mounted gun.

I agree, technology in current LCA(Mk1) is better than JF 17 block 1 and 2… moreover I am not sure how they will upgrade so many Block 1 and 2
Jf 17 Block III will have all new tech, it all depends on how much Chinese ready to invest

I am eagerly waiting for MK1A prototype and hope Mr. Siddique will do some magic in Kaveri project.
