How old is the info? Earlier, 20 Jaguars were supposed to get the 2032 MS radar instead of 2052 AESA. Maybe there's some confusion about that.

The media splashed the info on the Jag getting AESA. But the chap said its not for the rest of the fleet. Only for testing purposes. The fleet was not getting it in DARIN III.

Yeah, looks like it's old info. HAL apparently switched to 54 AESA radars in Feb this year. But the decision to switch to AESA was made in 2018 though. This is a classic case of even people inside the establishment not knowing what's actually happening sometimes.

SU 30 is good. If we can afford & maintain more...than it's good. I will take it over Tejas anyday.

SU 30 is good. If we can afford & maintain more...than it's good. I will take it over Tejas anyday.

Its highly expensive bird to maintain. for example we have more than 900 engine on order for less than 300 aircraft as per Nambiar.

Flying bullets is facing teething issues. It has to be Flying Daggers with IOC2 aircrafts.

If IAF has been forced to ask for help from Navy even for a dozen or so Mig29K , then 6-8 IOC2 aircrafts deployed in Western Command to carry out QRA duties are fine.

One MiG-21 squadron is going out this year. Rest by 2024.

If IAF has been forced to ask for help from Navy even for a dozen or so Mig29K , then 6-8 IOC2 aircrafts deployed in Western Command to carry out QRA duties are fine.

One MiG-21 squadron is going out this year. Rest by 2024.

If IAF deploys FOC standard Tejas in Pakistan border, If situation arise which BVR weapon they will carry. Derby,Astra,Derby-ER?

Flying Daggers is No-45 sqn IAF. No-18 is Flying Bullets which has a PVC.

Derby most likely. Astra has not been produced in numbers till now and has been extensively tested only with Su-30MKI. Derby ER was acquired but devil knows which platform uses it?
