A Malaysian Air Force team is expected to visit India soon to assess the suitability of the light combat aircraft (LCA), a locally developed system that has recently been ordered in large numbers by the Indian Air Force (IAF), as the force looks to acquire aline of new fighter jets.
Aesthetically LCA looks like a dwarf. I mean it’s length is disproportionately low compared to its wing span/wing area. It’s also probably why it has so high drag than Gripen etc

For a layman it looks like that much wing area can support a much larger fuselage.
Yeah, the LCA has a very large wing for its size. It's very good for flying in the mountains.
