Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

This incident happened precisely because this govt. did something.

I will not vote for someone who is doing something (although not according to my wishes) and vote for that guy who did absolutely nothing is the thought I have never been able to understand and always makes me chuckle (no offence)

In the decades gone by how much territory did china occupy silently by salami tactics and congress kept political considerations on top rather than confronting them?

Compare with now, this refusal to abject surrender and accept loss of territory is the cause of this standoff. Keep a calm head and let the pros deal with it.
The incident happened because the govt has done what it was supposed to do since the 1960s, not something innovative and courageous than the previous govt, and it's still too little. Please don't give more credit than its due. And moreover, as we grow we are expected to have a stand, if we don't do this minimum we will not have the basic respect in view of the larger geopolitics.

As you said let's get back to this once the dust settles.

First and foremost Government needs to end the monopoly of PSU/OFB atleast for ammunitions, China knows that most of our ammunition is imported and hence our inability to sustain a long term war.

We have refilled our war wastage reserves, so relax.

I don't know about you Guys
But I am happy with whatever has happened

Because I always knew that Chinese will
Show their true colours ONE DAY

No matter how much we talk to them
This was Just waiting to happen

AT LEAST NOW , We can make a SOP.
For Chinese " Transgressions "

Exactly my point.

So, who did what we were supposed to do in the 60s? This govt did that and is doing that. Things take time give them time. If the govt thinks that we need more time before we enforce our claims then we need more time. Why do you think all this infra work is going on? It is to eliminate the disadvantages we face right now.

Taking a stand and having an opinion is one thing. Just look at the posts in the preceding pages. Looks less like a defence forum with pros, rather more like cry forum.

Why do I hear these words in all official statements from MEA and IA but NOT in PLA.

"Diffuse", "De-escalate", "Peace", "Tranquility"
It's called stooping to conquer. Also a lot of it is courtesy dhotiwaadh & khaddarwaadh euphemisms for Gandhiwaadh plus Nehru's panchsheel & his extreme reluctance to weaponise his objections to Chinese perfidy & take things to it's logical conclusions. @safriz & Paxtanis would put it down to daalkhori & not eating beef. We don't need a second invitation to breast beat. It comes naturally to us. Have you ever noticed, most Indians aren't social drinkers. They aren't even aware of the term. It's either everything or nothing for them. That means they either drink till they puke / fall or are absolute teetotallers. You can extend that analogy out here. We can either take on both the Chinese & Pakistan along with everybody in between or we just cower in fear not trusting our own shadow.

I didn't see any one out here pause to think & take stock of the situation.Retaliation & retribution is demanded and it has to be now as if this is the last day on earth.

No sir, I smell something totally different. I smell fear and politics in the mix. I smell status quo in the Dabba curry.

I mentioned a few days ago that if ever there's going to be a bullet fired on the LAC , it's the Chinese who'd do it. Not us. We'd retaliate. Give it some time.

That IS the VERY BEST situation. I would have LOVED TO take it. I love the word Retaliate. I don't see it ANY WHERE. All I see is this "Diffuse", "De-escalate", "Peace", "Tranquility". It tells me a *censored*ed up stance of Indian beauracary and polity. They are throwing military to wolves for the sake of businessmen, their own cushy careers and 56-inch dildos.

I am now 💯 sure it's not a minor violent incident. Obviously neither army nor government will declare everything in public domain.
