You may be aware that the air in Tibet is rarefied. That prevents Jets from taking off with full capacity load. But at sea levels there's no such problem. That's the reason why the Chinese are opting to deploy their aircraft carrier there. To counter them we will be deploying submarines & P-8i.
But Ldak air is more rarified than Tibet. Plus, how will they move the carrier there? It will be difficult to navigate those waters too.
