Just yesterday I was chatting with my son about the ladies in my life before his mom.

I married his mom because she was the only girl I fell in love with. That and that she was a pure blood Behdin.

So really, you n Rathore have nothing to feel insecure about.

The math is something like this . Say there were 50 eligible bachelors in Pune at that time . According to say Darab Bawa's law - a third of them ( 17) would be confirmed bachelors , another third would be mamma's boys / disinterested in sex leave aside marriage . Which brings to the last third . Out of which a few may have married outside the community , a few carrier oriented guys may have chosen to go abroad - let's say 5 in either category. Which leaves us with the last 5 of which you were one among the 2 most eligible bachelors .

If you're from the community, it's very easy to tell. And I continue to fail to see the relevance of your question, or why for that matter you're so interested in the first place.

Again, Bawa dikri nathi deta? Being an eligible bachelor almost 3 decades ago does little to make one appear attractive in the here and now.

Poona. Not Pune.

Career. Not carrier.

Well, I was one of the top 5 ramp models in Poona at the time. Not bawa fashion shows, before you take another silly dig.

I was also one of the faces of Coca Cola in their first TV ad campaign (share my dreams) when they returned to India.

And the face of a yuppy jeans brand and a big local builder on hoardings across the city.

College and Univ swim team captain, and the physique that goes with that.

Quite a rebel with a violent streak and a gang to back it up. Pretty notorious among the more genteel establishments and misc police stations across the city.

A ear stud and copper bronze shoulder length hair in a military academy.

And girls in all the major colleges around the city.

You puppies are boring in comparison to Poona's flower power days.

I am NOT a Bengali ( Thank God for that )

And the so called cradle of Indian nationalism would have achieved Nothing IF not for the
Revolt by the Martial Races ; which was gaining strength in a Violent manner and form

Do not be under ANY illusion that Britishers bowed down to Subhash Chandra Bose 's
Chalo dilli or Rabindranath Tagore's poems

They were afraid of being lynched by the Their Own Indian soldiers
That is The Rajputs and Marathas and Sikhs ; Hence they ran away

Britishers were never intimidated by either Subhash Chandra bose or the Bengali masses
