ARMY ORGANISES SRINAGAR CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF 2nd WOMEN'S CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP Srinagar, J&K - 13 Oct 2018.
The Army, in collaboration with JKWCA, had organised the 2nd Kashmir Inter District Women’s Cricket Championship 2018 which had commenced on 09th October 2018. The tournament, which was played on a knockout basis, participation of 10 teams from all across the Kashmir Valley and the young girls displayed great zeal and enthusiasm during the competition.
ARMY CONDUCTS INTER SCHOOL KHO-KHO COMPETITION FOR GIRLS Kalal, Rajouri, J&K - 13 Oct 18.
With an aim to bring in communal harmony and to inculcate sportsmanship amongst the students of Rajouri District, the Indian Army organised a Kho-Kho Competition for Girls at Kalal. The event provided impetus to the Army’s efforts to promote positive youth development through sports and also provide a competitive platform to showcase the hidden talent of the girls in the region.

INDIAN ARMY CONDUCTS MEDICAL CHECKUP
AT GHAT MADARASSA, Doda, J&K - 10 Nov 18.
Indian Army organised a medical checkup for students of Ghat Madarassa with an aim to fulfill the request of Ghat Madarassa where no medical practitioner is available. Ghat is a village on the outskirts of Doda district , where medical facilities are poor.
ARMY CONDUCTS MEDICAL CAMP AT JAD,Gool, RAMBAN, J&K - 10 Nov 18.
To address the medical problems of populace in far flung and remote areas, a Medical Camp was conducted by Indian Army at Jad village of Ramban district.
Jad is a remote village in Ramban district and is devoid of basic medical facilities. The local population has to travel for long distances through difficult terrain to get basic medical facilities at Gool. Such initiatives by the Army have not only enabled patients to be treated closer to their homes but also helped in increasing awareness about cleanliness, hygiene and healthy living.
MANNAT-E-AMAN : A CULTURAL FEST AT BABA RESHI SHRINE ,Srinagar - 10 Nov 2018.
A day long Cultural Fest 'Mannat-e-Aman' was organised for the people on 10th November 2018 at Baba Reshi Shrine by Settle Light Production along with Waqf Board, Baba Reshi Market Association, Baba Reshi and Tangmarg Taxi Unions, Gulmarg Development Authority (GDA), Civil Administration and Security Forces. In this unique initiative, people from neighbouring areas of Baba Reshi joined hands with the Army to celebrate the heritage of syncretic traditions in Kashmir.
ARMY FACILITATES CATARACT SURGERIES FOR SENIOR CITIZENS OF SURANKOTE, Poonch, J&K - 06 Nov 18.
Indian Army facilitated Cataract Surgery for 20 senior citizens, including six ladies of remote villages of Surankote tehsil in Poonch district. In a preliminary screening camp held on 24 July 2018, 60 patients were identified for cataract surgery. The patients were divided into three batches of 20 patients each. Accordingly, the surgery was planned in three phases.
ARMY ORGANISES TUITION CLASSES FOR STUDENTS Samote, Rajouri, J&K - 09 Nov 18.
Army has been in the forefront to propagate the importance of education among the AWAM. It has also been facilitating the avenues for talent hunt amongst the students. To take these initiatives further, the Indian Army unit undertook a novel initiative of conducting tuition classes for children at far flung and remote villages of Rajouri district.

In an endeavour to motivate the students of rural areas, build their confidence and facilitate their talent, Indian Army carried out installation of a TV alongwith DTH for students of Government High School, Bagga in Ramban district.

To provide quality medical care to the needy population of remote areas of Poonch district, Indian Army organised a 'Medical, Dental and Veterinary Camp' at Government Middle School, Loran.
The aim of the camp was to extend medical services to the people and their live stock of village Loran where adequate medical and veterinary infrastructure is not available
NDIAN ARMY HELPS LIGHT UP DEMCHOK, LADAKH J&K - 04 Nov 18
Demchok is a remote village in the Ladakh in proximity to the Line of Actual Control. Indian Army as part of its contribution to develop remote areas undertook a noble initiative to provide electricity in the Demchok village. A 20 KW solar power plant was established in 2013 in the village and the same was non-functional since 2016.
INDIAN ARMY DISTRIBUTES SOLAR HOME LIGHTING SYSTEM, Bagga, Rajouri, J&K - 08 Nov 18.
Army has been contributing immensely towards upliftment and development of local population in remote areas. Continuing the trend, Indian Army undertook the initiative of distribution of solar lights in villages of Rajouri district where the electricity has not been provisioned.

Indian Army celebrated “National Girl Child Day” at Youth Centre, Suarnkote, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Mendhar, Modern Public Academy, Dara Dullian and Youth Centre Palma in Poonch and Rajouri districts on 24 Jan 19.
ARMY AND FTII CONDUCT SCREEN ACTING COURSE at Baramulla Srinagar,(J&K) on 24 Jan 2019.
To provide necessary skill enhancement training to the talented youth of the Valley, the Army in collaboration with Films and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune organised the second Screen Acting Course under their flagship programme, Skilling in Films and Television (SKIFT) from 01st to 23rd Jan 19 at Baramulla.

Due to recent snowfall in the Valley, the populace in various villages is facing severe hardships as the access to these villages has been snapped. Gundon is one such village in Shahgund where the locals were requiring medical assistance and to cater to their needs, the Army conducted a Medical Camp at this village on 21st Jan 19.
