Off-Topic Chit-Chat

I know I'm new, but I just wish we can all get along.

This sparring online what does it achieve really in the real world?

At least if we can stop labeling each other and just have normal conversations it would be a start.

We do not need to agree with everyone.

We do not need to even like everyone.

But if we can just make our point and not push beyond a stage if the other guy or girl is not getting it, that would surely see a marked fall in the aggravation.

Also, there is really no need to band together into ideological cliques. Easier said than done I agree in the current climate as it may be.

Elsewhere it was us Vs them.

Here there is hardly any them. So do we really crave a them enough to manufacture one?

And instead of engaging directly, passing snidies against the other or something he or she holds dear is really not cool.

Just some initial thoughts. I might add as more come to me ...

I'm confident that in the Non NRI Non Bot membership the trend is the same.

Think about it....it is clear that Modi will call for elections in the next 6 months or so and do you see the 'surge' that modi had in the last 6 months of MMS govt? They might be looking at a heavily fractured mandate or outright defeat.

This is sort of off-topic from what's currently being discussed (although this is paradoxically the off topic thread) - but how many of the regular Indian members from the green place are still stuck there? Are they all now aware of this place, with plans to join?

The common Indian is a practical person.

Unlike intellectuals who can afford to quibble without offering any solutions when the common man goes to vote he chooses the best option available to him from the list on the ballot paper.

Why don't you people stop posting in threads created by Misinfojihadi? He is simply taking advantage of the several design flaws and loopholes in this website which doesn't allow for filtering out threads/posts according to upvotes/downvotes and unnecessarily brings the thread with the most recent posting on the front page.

The best way to deal with it is to not respond to such posts and instead wait for the admins to improve the site and its algorithm further.

Bro. As long as one believes in dialogue, debates we should discuss whatever it might be. By responding to him or not, no one is going to change their ideology. You can choose not to discuss with him u dont like. I will discuss according to the topics I like. We are not Iran or KSA to clamp down free speech
