Off-Topic Chit-Chat

You read BBC news a lot for someone who doesn't like it. Of course it's not world news if it happens here, that should be obvious.

Of course it wouldn't be, it wouldn't give them an opportunity to paint Indians as rapists, would it ?

News of such crime are not 'world news' for BBC unless it happen in India. We all know that.

It's more to do with the fact that they have separate sections for news from separate geographic locations. National news goes under UK news, Indian news goes under the Indian subsection of World news.

And why did you post this story? Are you trying to portray us as rapists? <- That's you that is.

Except the news about any such incident in India would immediately appear in their homepage & Facebook/twitter feed. Given that people now get their news from social media, it's easy to understand why. There would be multiple articles, Op-Eds & editorialized news on the same incident.

Of course some British royal sneezing or farting would make it into their homepage & social media pages.

Oh no, I'm simply reporting it. That's the common excuse when someone points out that BBC coverage of India is almost exclusively about rape & crime, right ?

My God you don't even understand how the damn internet works. The internet knows where you are and everything you see on it is tailored to your geographic location (and other preferences). You see Indian news on the homepage because you are in India, ditto for weather forecasts. I can't believe I had to explain that. It would be a bit daft if I went to look at the news and it told me about some local incident in Kathmandu as a headline.

Additionally, most news is about bad stuff like rape, crime, death and war. Good news simply doesn't make good news.

Idiot, the homepage (Home - BBC News) is not specific for any geographic location. Try websites like geopeeker or Teleport to check the same.

Neither is twtter/ FB feed tailored to any geographical location. You are way too stupid.

Now I'm modifying your last sentence so that it makes sense... "Good news about India simply doesn't make good news.''

If bad news make good news for BBC, where is the coverage on their social media pages & homepage ?

Just to show how intelligent/knowledge Brits are... Comments from BBC FB page.

I, looked and it seems to have mostly local stories, local to me, like Trump's visit.

Oh, you've found some comments you don't like on Twitter. Shock, horror. Dude, you need to stop using the internet, because it is full of stuff you won't like.

What a deflection, now you don't even need to address the problem of British indophobia & ignorance. :ROFLMAO:

Why should we stop using the internet? If it wasn't for the internet most modern day Indians would be unaware of British racism & indophobia.

You were expecting to find enlightened people on Twitter? What next, 4chan comments?

But you get upset reading other people's perspective and feel the need to mess up all threads posting about it. That's where the problem starts. Two people on Twitter said something, so I must post something general about British racism and indophobia. If you don't like the BBC, stop giving their website hits and posting links to it, because at the moment you're giving them free advertising and traffic.

I think the reality here is that you are Anglophobic, because you constantly harp on about it, day in and day out. It is consistently you who starts these arguments.

No, it's just what's there. Free press is a bitch.

'Supposedly free' press infiltrated by intelligence agencies & indulging in atrocity propaganda might be.

Now find a good excuse for why BBC didn't publish news of the rape & murder of a six year old child in their home page or social media.

Those 'enlightened people' belong to your little island, so the point still stands. And given the prevalence of such opinions among Brits, it cannot be dismissed as an exception.

And it's simply not some random opinion. It's pure racism & indophobia.

And you are the one who posted some random YouTube comment of a colonial apologist about 'British empire civilizing the heathens'. So basically you too count among that enlightened population.

You reap what you sow. After colonizing us for more than a hundred years, celebrating colonialism and now spreading atrocity propaganda against us, you cannot expect us to be pro-British.

At the least we aren't harbouring terrorists who attack UK, much unlike perfidious Brits.

Specially in last 18 seconds, the acceleration she achieved was greatest ever.
Imagine her burst of speed. she was about 15m behind the leading girl when she came on the final stretch and in last 75m she not only overtook those 15m but also established a lead of 20m over the no-2. so her speed in the final stretch was nearly double that of the no-2 & 3 girl.
