This is What Pakistanis Practice
i disagree with you sir , this is what all muslims are practicing , every muslims know what was shown in the video , they wait for the right time to practice that openly . in my country , it is a habbit to hide the truth , thanks to mohamad das karamchand gandhi ( imposed father of the nation who was a worthless lawyer and a selfish horny leader ) who started all this propaganda to fool the majority of the country and rule the country with his dogs like nehru and coterie . i can enumerate hundreds of verses from quran which will burn many a$$e$ here too . and the best part will be the mods and seniors will either remove my post , ban me or warn me( gandhi style ) .
i guess it is time to name and shame them in open , so they mend their ways and dont ruin further my country bharat . shame on people who adapted the habit of becoming an ostrich and live their meaningless life justifying themselves that they are kind and noble human beings ( funny part is they do this at the cost of their own country and religion )

The British anchor can't hide his butt-hurt... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I can't tell you the amount of fun I've had on reddit after the ASAT test. There the British were the most butt-hurt, Americans were preaching, Pakistanis were well Pakistanis, the rest of the world just noted it and moved on.
The British though, I got headaches reading their intelligent arguments about how they could do so tomorrow if they wanted to. This is the same country that uses US ballistic missiles.
I mean its not like it was targeted at them, still why the burn ?

Is it just me or did twitter change ? The desktop site looks like the mobile site now, or maybe I am stuck on the mobile version. How do I switch to desktop version ?

Frankly, your nation's record on it thanks to your incumbent President isn't anything to write home about. China's taking the lead here in implementing and adhering to the Kyoto Protocol. I & none of us here would've believed it, a decade ago. That's both a testimony to how far China's arrived at the world's stage and how far the US has regressed.
The same protocol where nations set their own targets and there is no penalty for failure to meet them, which is actually no protocol at all. Trump's withdrawal from that was simply pointing out that fact.

It's an amoral and irresponsible position.
That's expected coming from you.

The important part that nobody will ever agree to though is population control. Every time we reduce the per capita emissions, population surges wipe out the improvements. The population is now so high that farming livestock emissions has even become a problem simply because people keep breeding uncontrollably.
Go look for beef consumption among the world's population, the amount of livestock it takes and the entire ecosystem needed to sustain that industry and you'd concede the vegans have an argument although they make it in a shrill off putting manner.

Now extrapolate that bit of info to the carbon footprint Generated and you'd see how a higher population growth argument is half flawed and the greater consumption argument has more substance in it .

We need to eat meat though, otherwise we'd all end up like Jeremy Corbyn. Population control makes more sense.

Population control comes naturally with economic development and higher levels of education. The places experiencing the greatest amount of population growth are also the ones who lack the central planning capability to control it.

The focus should be on uplifting the poor masses of the world in a sustainable way. Cutting back on livestock for lab grown alternatives or plant based alternatives is something that can be achieved and is starting to gain traction.
What is in 'Beyond meat' though?

What is in 'Beyond meat' though?

A quick google search tells me:

Water, pea protein isolate, expeller-pressed canola oil, refined coconut oil, contains 2% or less of the following: cellulose from bamboo, methylcellulose, potato starch, natural flavor, maltodextrin, yeast extract, salt, sunflower oil, vegetable glycerin, dried yeast, gum arabic, citrus extract (to protect quality), ascorbic acid (to maintain color), beet juice extract (for color), acetic acid, succinic acid, modified food starch, annatto (for color).

So mostly water, pea protein, and oil with a dab of other flavorings and agents to keep it together/give it flavor.

I'll take population control instead thanks.

It'll be have to be a mix of both. Not everyone will switch to meat alternatives and even if a significant population does, it will take time for the industry to mature and become more affordable/varied.
