He already has tenure till 2027. Pak Parliament passed the bill in Nov 24. Immediately his tone on India started changing.
There is a different game at play here. Sindoor has showed PA that ultimately onl PA with its numbers and equipment and Pakistani Nukes are of any value as a bargaining chip to involve the west.
PAF and PN are unreliable money pits with little value if there is even a week long war. PA will now shape the narrative of it being the only guardian of Pakistan. The bogey of India is even more pronounced now.
Pak got spit roasted and PAF took the worst beating in its existence. PN was waiting for its turn and hoping it wouldnt hurt much. The same was openly visible to the public. Now the shaken population will cling to the only power structure they feel will keep them safe. Pak Army supremacy restored.
I am curious about Pak's next steps. Silver bullets of questionable quality like Chinese stealth fighters make for good social media posts and feel good news items but 30-50 PAF fighters cannot delay the inevitable.
I am guessing Pak will now go the Ukraine Houthi way - cheap AAMs mounted on mobile launchers linked to rigged up adhoc passive systems everywhere while PA will now seek major upgrades to the way it plans to fight
This seemed to be the exact opposite of what I was seeing on Pakistani social media.

They think PA is junk and are putting their faith in PAF and PN?
They are not cheering the acquisition of Chinese Stealth figthers?
PA is not reconsidering its battle plans?
PAF is not seriously thinking how to fix its Air defense?
Gadhon Ka Raja Maha Gadha hota. And Pakistan is famous for even exporting them. He is not the first ever General who has been promoted to the rank of FM. Gen. F Paulus was the head of German 6th Army which fought the battle of Stalingrad and lost. Hitler had once stated that 6th Army can even conquer heavens for him. When Hitler came to know that Gen. Paulus is going to surrender, He promoted him to the rank of FM to prevent him from being taken as POW alive thinking that he will commit suicide. But he did not and surrendered to Red Army in the rank of FM. Other than him, no other FM of German army was caught alive. Even FM Rommel committed suicide by shooting himself rather than be a prisoner.Field Marshal Munir
same fate awaits Munir now. He promoted himself to the rank of FM and now he too will become POW someday. But now this will start the war within PA. The corps Commanders who wanted to remove him to become next Chief of PA, will now fight among themselves for the job of PA Chief unless Munir wants to continue as the head of PA even after being FM. The rank of FM is lifetime and does not have retirement age.

China is getting real time testing data from potentially live combat situation. Its a goldmine for a product developer. They have a solid reason to get these jets to China.
Best part - PAF is paying for the privilege of becoming the proud guinea pig of China.
Behind the gloom and doom by this time next year some misconceptions plaguing the masses will be clear
1. Stealth fighters are not invisible
2, Stealth fighters are not magic bullets. They need an incredible ecosystem to maintain and run reliably
3. Stealth performance is not guaranteed, Its is like mutual funds - read the offer document carefully before investing.
Let us see if Pakistan survives a month beyond when monsoons get over in Indian subcontinent.
Pakistan will not be our test subject. Because the war between India and Pakistan is too low-level. We want the air combat theory between fifth-generation aircraft. We want the coordinated combat theory between unmanned wingman and manned aircraft, and we want the combat theory about the US distributed lethality and network-centric warfare.
The combat theories of the air forces of both sides in this war did not even surpass the combat theories of the US military during the Iraq War.
The simplest example is that India and Pakistan do not even conduct SEAD operations, and there are no dedicated electronic warfare aircraft to provide accompanying interference.
