It would be helpful if you could quote the relevant part of the article when posting, like below.

Both the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir administration sought the adjournment on the ground that preparations for local body polls were underway. The Centre also said the interlocutor has been appointed and the talks are going on.

BJP is actually making a complete fool of people on this aspect. In July they asked for time as they had appointed an interlocutor and now local body elections. This clearly shows that BJP is a real Jumla Party.

Modi shouldn't try anything that upsets law and order until the economy is sorted out first. His first priority should be winning elections and making reforms for greater economic growth.

BJP does not want to solve kashmir problem. The hearing today was to frame questions to be put to constitution bench. It was not about scrapping 35A and BJP delayed even that. Local body elections have been used as an excuse to deral and delay the scrapping of this stupid law.

There's too much uncertainty there. Imran Khan in Pakistan and the loss of power in Kashmir. No point upsetting the apple cart if you don't have full control over the apple cart.

Around 74.1 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the first phase of Panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
According to the figures released by state’s chief electoral officer this evening, brisk polling was recorded in three out of six districts of Kashmir Valley which went to the polls today.
In Kashmir Valley, the highest, 71.9 per cent, polling was recorded in Kupwara district. The polls were held in Keran, Ramhal, Tarathpora, Teetwal and Tangdhar blocks of the district. With 69.1 per cent polling, Baramulla was the second highest turnout district. High voter turnout in Uri and upper reaches of Rafiabad upped the poll percentage.
In Bandipora district, 55.7% of the electorate voted in poll-bound area of the landlocked Gurez Valley. The turnout was moderate to low in Budgam, Srinagar and Ganderbal districts.
While Budgam recorded 30.1 per cent voter turnout, the turnout was 11.9 and 21.8 per cent respectively in Ganderbal and Srinagar districts.
The elections were held in Gund block in Ganderbal, Khanmoh in Srinagar and Khansahib in Budgam district.
In Jammu and Ladakh regions, the voter turnout remained impressive in nine districts which went to the polls.
According to the figures, 70.9 per cent poll percentage was recorded in Kargil, 59.7 in Leh, 74.1 in Kishtwar, 80.8 in Doda,78.2 in Ramban, 83.6 in Udhampur, 78.9 in Rajouri, 80.0 in Kathua and 78.7 per cent in Poonch.
The panchayat polls are being conducted in the state after a gap of seven years in nine phases. In the last panchayat polls held in 2011, the voter turnout across the state stood at 82 percent.
The term of last panchayats had expired in 2016 and the previous PDP-led government failed to hold the polls despite repeated directives from the government of India since 2017 to go ahead with the electoral exercise.
While the National Conference and People’s Democratic Party have decided to stay away from the electoral exercise, the resistance groups have asked people to boycott the polls in line with their three-decade-old anti-election policy.
The major mainstream parties have decided against participating in the polls, citing New Delhi’s “ambiguous” stand on Article 35A, which has been challenged by rightwing groups in the Supreme Court.

Katarpur corridor: Amarinder Singh declines Pak invite; 'Joyful' Sidhu to attend
Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh Sunday declined Pakistan's invitation to attend the Kartarpur corridor foundation stone-laying ceremony on the other side of the international border, citing terror attacks in his state and killings of Indian soldiers by Pakistan troops as the reason.

In a letter to Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Singh said it is a historic occasion, but regretted his inability to be present. The chief minister said his reason for declining the invitation was twofold. "Firstly, not a day passes when Indian soldiers are not killed or wounded on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. Rather than moving towards normalcy, these incidents are escalating," he said. Secondly, the chief minister claimed, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has started its nefarious activities in Punjab.

"Since March 2017, the state has neutralised 19 ISI-armed and controlled modules, apprehended 81 terrorists and seized 79 weapons, numerous grenades of the HG-84 type made in Pakistan's Ordnance factories with Austrian know how, and some IEDs," the chief minister claimed. The last attack took place in Amritsar few days ago, on a peaceful religious congregation in a villages. Three men were killed and 19, including women and children, were wounded, Singh said, adding that the terrorists had been caught. "I hope that the prime minister (of Pak) will understand these circumstances... It will not be possible for me to be present in Pakistan on this historic occasion, despite the fact that paying my respects at Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib has always been my cherished dream which will hopefully be fulfilled once these hostilities and killings are stopped," he said. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the ground-breaking ceremony of the Kartarpur Corridor, on the Pakistan side, on November 28.

Earlier, Pakistan's Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Friday that Punjab cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu would visit the country to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kartarpur Border corridor, according to a media report on Friday.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the groundbreaking ceremony of the facilities at the crossing on the Pakistan side on November 28. Chaudhry confirmed that the former Indian cricketer would visit the country. This will be Sidhu's second visit to Pakistan this year.

Sindhu told Roznama Express that he has gladly accepted the invitation, sent by khan for the November 28 event. He said the Pakistani premier was his friend and he will visit the country whenever he is invited by him. "I don't have words to express my joy," he said.
