If anything, the composition of martyrs is very close to what their composition is among Indian population.
Upper Caste Hindus : 26%
OBCs : 42%
SCs : 22%
STs : 9%

Both the distribution are quite similar! Martyrs came from all the parts of Indian population. His own thesis is false because he didn't look at the proportion of various "castes" in Indian population.

Classic case of a snake sowing seeds of discord in India.

As I have indicated here before a new political formula is being implemented with trifurcation of the state of j&k. As expected this has invited a range of hilarious reactions from across the border,

1) this is not a new policy done by modi, this has been discussed for several decades. The principle being that while separatists claim they want independence for Kashmir in reality they want to play for the whole state of j&k of which Kashmir is only 15%
2) take away Buddhist Ladakh and jammu where no one wants to leave India and you have valley of Kashmir which is the size of Bangalore airport
3) now goi wants to force the question on Pakistan- do you really want to commit 10 billion for Bangalore airport?

The response from across the border is hilarious. On one hand they are claiming modi is finally beginning to give away Kashmir 🤣 . And in addition they are claiming it is unfair because Ladakh belongs to Kashmir. The separatist hurriyat leaders I hear are in deep depression because instead of becoming royal family of j&k they will now try to be royal family of lic building in Poonamalee

There is a much simpler explanation to all this. It will consolidate BJP favoring voters and will increase its standing in terms of state tally, Rajya Sabha and possibly Lok Sabha.

What I find rather interesting is why there has been no noise for this from Ladhakh and Jammu itself. I guess lure of no income tax and exclusive rights to land is at work.

With heightened threat from Kashmiri terrorists, they will also raise demands for separate state and special status as status quo.

It is in a way good too. Now India will be able to focus on development of Jammu and Ladakh. And if push comes to shove, isolate Kashmiri in Kashmir and starve them.

No it's been on the cards for several decades. Mehbooba mufti was explicitly against it in the past and I don't know about the Abdullah. I am guessing they werealso against this because the principal of splitting a state on religious lines is something no one wants to do. The idea is to disincentivize opportunists who think they will get a big payday. That will involve both the hurriyat and cash trapped Pakistan.
