But getting them will solve a huge problem since they can do air superiority and air defence roles much better than our mig 29 and mig 21's. The typhoons have a lot of airframe life even though training the troops will take time but still much better than using the bisons and they can do air superiority roles. And better us getting hands on them than the Pakistanis or any other player. The typhoon might cost less than 1.5 billion dollar which will give us a pretty immediate boost. And can be inducted within a year. With training and upgrading them with BNET and integrating other Israeli sub systems..
The Su-57 is far more capable than the F-35. Its stealth is also more or less competitive with it. Like comparing a Mig-29 with an F-16. It's "not as stealthy as the F-35" comment is misunderstood by a huge margin. The difference is very easily in the lower single digits. Simply put neither the F-22 nor the F-35 have any tactical advantage over the Su-57 based on stealth alone.
Tranche 1 Typhoons are pathetic. That's really the reason they are getting rid of it. Only Tranche 3 and higher are worthy of mentioning. Also, it can't replace the Mig-21, not made for such a role for our geography.

Are you sure you wanna pay huge sums of money for a technology that's already outdated? The only good thing about the Tranche 1 is its performance. Everything else is not worth any amount of money, not even if it's free, 'cause we can't afford the upkeep, and we definitely cannot afford the upgrade either.
And when multiple air forces are getting rid of a jet before its time, you can be sure that there are problems with said jet. The Austrians want to get rid of it, and so do the Germans and Brits. Hell, according to the Austrians, they find it cheaper to just buy a new jet instead of paying for the maintenance of the Typhoon. And even they are looking for a single-engine jet that actually meets more robust QRA requirements.
Our main QRA jets will be LCA and Mig-29, with the LCA Mk2 replacing the Migs in the future. Also a detachment or two of M2000s until the LCAs come in.
Along with the F-35, the Typhoon is the example that shows that when a herd of dynosaurs tries to make an aeroplane, it doesn't go very well.
