Hopefully army standardizes the bullets soon.
So, ARDE is working on the 6.8X43mm gun. They were also working with caseless ammo. Sandeep says 6.8x43 mm could be the Army's caliber of the future.
We are still a decade away before Army standardizes the 6.8 mm, if it happens at all. The way Army runs their acquisition programs you never know.Btw if 6.8x43 mm is standardized, what will happen to the AKs and other rifles? Will they just be put for reserves? Used by the army despite a new rifle because you'll need one for the new bullet? Or they'll be handed to other security forces in the country?
We are gonna end up buying sigs again if we are planning to move to 6.8mm. It's better we move to 6.5 grendel and indianise it and keep the 7.62x51. 6.8mm is overengineered and really doesn't bring any major performance boosts. You could do the same with 7.62x51 mm.We are still a decade away before Army standardizes the 6.8 mm, if it happens at all. The way Army runs their acquisition programs you never know.
Until then they can keep using the AKs & SiGs.
4.1 lakh A3 size papers , seriously ?
Russian are giving us technologia..... Only thing is it's taking long time for us to absorb it fully. Took 2 years just to indigenize a small part of AK 203. It's also show we are reaching there.
The gun, its parts drawing down to the tiny pin level, jigs, test equipment, material used in every single part, their qap , testing process for each single part , material process chart et al , vendor list, who make what etc just some things off my head i guess. material qap alone is quite large, we are seeing konkurs m docs from BDL for decade now and yet every time some new part doc comes out.4.1 lakh A3 size papers , seriously ?
I am curious to know whats in the documents, just turn it over to some private sector company we will know what nonsense is present.
