Ukraine - Russia Conflict

As Ukrainian's second-largest city has been pounded by Russian missile, glide bomb and artillery strikes, officials in Kyiv have begged the U.S. to allow the use of donated long-range weapons to strike back across the border, into Russia directly. Now that is going to happen.
In a major policy shift, the Biden administration “recently” approved Ukraine’s use of U.S.-supplied weapons on Russian territory, but only near Kharkiv, two U.S. officials confirmed to The War Zone. Ukraine has long been barred by the U.S. from using weapons it has donated against targets in Russia proper.
“The President recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine is able to use U.S.-supplied weapons for counter-fire purposes in the Kharkiv region so Ukraine can hit back against Russian forces that are attacking them or preparing to attack them," a U.S. official told The War Zone. "Our policy with respect to prohibiting the use of [Army Tactical Missile System] ATACMS or long range strikes inside of Russia has not changed.”

They should save the cluster ATACMs for Russian s300/400 sites since it only takes one to take out a whole battery since for reason they keep the s400 radar close to launcher... cluster munition close. US knows where every Russian s300/400 is deployed the ones deployed in occupied Ukraine have been hit and there's only one or two batteries left in Crimea. The problem was Ukraine was not allowed to hit s300/400 just over the border but since that policy has changed these IADS should be Ukraine's most important targets now that F-16's will soon arrive.

Take them out and you can have a situation where Ukraine F-16's can interdict over the frontlines allowing them to use AGM-Mavericks.

The first footage of the use of Russian FPV drones in the Black Sea, intended for protection against naval drones of the Ukrainian army. Previously, the Russian army used predominantly firearms to repel attacks by Ukrainian naval drones. The video shows an attack by an unknown model of Russian FPV drone on a Ukrainian maritime drone MAGURA V5. The drone was drifting, waiting for a target to attack. The exact shooting location and date have not been announced.

An episode of the battle in Ukraine, filmed simultaneously by the Russian and Ukrainian armies in the Avdeevsky direction. The footage was shortened and filmed from a drone and a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. The video shows an attempt to land infantry with a Ukrainian M2A2 Bradley ODS-SA infantry fighting vehicle. The landing failed, the Ukrainian M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle was attacked by soldiers of the 15th separate guards motorized rifle brigade of Russia. Damaged by a mortar shell, the crew of the M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle attempted to evacuate, but was unable to due to constant attacks from Russian kamikaze FPV drones. After which another M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle was called in for help, which was also attacked by a drone, but evacuated some of the military personnel.

Artillery, bombs and drones have become the main destructive factor in the fighting in Ukraine, some believe that more soldiers are even killed by drones than by small arms fighting. An episode of a battle where four Ukrainian FPV drones tried to attack a group of Russian soldiers. We can say that the soldiers were really lucky; it is not always possible to escape from drone attacks. The location of the shooting has not been announced, the video has been shortened.

Russian Momentum is back
About a week ago that was slightly true to a limited degree, but now it isn't. Russia has gained about 0.001% (6km^2) since last weekend, but it has also lost 1,100-1,500 men per day. It's WWI stuff. And for their assault on Kharkiv they're being rewarded with Ukraine being allowed to use Western weapons inside Russia for the first time. And that's a change that won't be rolled back when a time comes that Russia is doing less well.

Image reportedly of the magazine detonation of the Karakurt-class corvette Tsiklon after being struck by a unitary warhead ATACMs.
