According to Marchenko, if the West wants Ukraine to continue to fight, it must be provided with urgent financial assistance, because. Kyiv cannot cover its budget deficit.

But the main thing is not only that Western aid is not enough. The key point is that this is not gratuitous assistance, but loans that will have to be repaid.

Mark my words tomorrow if terms are reached between Moscow & Kyiv , all this western concern & aid will evaporate faster than the air emerging from Paddys or sweetie's backsides here .

Ukraine would move out of the headlines & they'd be left to pick up the pieces of their lives with the west moving on to creating or fuelling another crisis covering it in great detail. This is what has happened in the past , this is what we will see again. Ukraine's only utility is till they continue fighting Russia till the last Ukrainian.

This is a very informative & important interview with our former permanent representative in the UN about why India abstained from voting on resolutions condemning the Russian special operations as they've described it in the Ukraine or on it's suspension from the UNHRC.

He cites various legal precedents & laws which've been flouted & an atmosphere deliberately created to provoke a lynch mob mentality without waiting for the findings of the independent investigation into the events at Bucha before expelling / suspending Russia from the UNHRC. Please note the valid doubts he raises on the accepted western narrative on those events.

Further he highlights how the collusion of big tech in silicon valley with the US government & western interests aligned to create a totally one sided narrative on this conflict which absolutely went against the spirit of these global platforms where economics was supposed to be isolated & in a different silo from politics & how this new reality now has repercussions for the world at large especially India.

Putin has taken to blowing up Russians in their homes now to create a pretext for targeting civilians in Ukraine.
