Ukraine - Russia Conflict

Baraka,that's the only comforting factor.

B/W Moskva is defended by onboard S300 missiles.
And no less than 6 AK-630 CIWS systems, plus 80 Gecko missiles on top of the 64 S-300 missiles. Either the captain was drunk or Russian IADS is dog-turd-poor.

As for a fire breaking out, I think we both know that mishaps do not occur at this rate. But this a great cue for a little song for Russian sailors.

Ammunition exploded on the missile cruiser "Moscow". According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, due to a fire on the missile cruiser "Moscow", a detonation of ammunition occurred, the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet was seriously damaged. Now the ship is afloat, the fire has been extinguished, the explosions of ammunition have stopped. The missile cruiser "Moscow" is planned to be towed to the port

Their training and planning might be only better than pirates in East African Coast. Nothing else imo.

Or their own sailors have decided to sabotage their ships, or laser sats exist. I can't believe that two fire broke out on major naval vessels in less than a month. In a terrible navy a fire is maybe a once a year thing at most.

Moskva pulled will back from the coast after AShMs started being used, but like any ship it needs to dock for food supplies eventually, plus fuel since non-nuclear.

Their Electronics are old. How many missiles they might have on board , their capabilities to engage a certain number of target remains limited. And a warship needs to have its sensors as well as self defence systems fully operational to be fully effective, else say if you are operating the radar for 6-8 hours and then shutting it down for 4-5 , it's a threat.

They now have 30 years of gap in serious investment in R&D, they will obviously start to lag.

Much of their Navy is operational today because we bought their stuff and also paid them to develop them and also to upgrade their shipyards. Their first major naval exercises after the fall of union was conducted with our help.

It's time we should aim to ensure that capital purchase come to negligible by 2026-27 now.

Russian MOD reports the fire at the Moskva missile cruiser has been contained & the explosions ceased, the crew was evacuated and the vessel is being tugged to its port.

Additionally, the main missile armament was NOT damaged.
Lol. Poor thing you must have really struggled to pull that out of your a$$, eh? Now it's time for you to wake up and get back to reality because the cruiser is gone, Jose.

Looking at events they would certainly pose no threat to western navies. If all it takes is two subsonic AShMs to knock them out they're not even competitive. Imagine a US carrier force with 1,000 jets loaded with 4 Harpoon missiles each. I don't even know why they bother having a navy given the level they've demonstrated.

Sometimes the Daily Mail really is all the news you need.

Russian Navy flagship is BLOWN UP: 'Go f*** yourself' warship Moskva is 'hit by Ukrainian missiles', explodes and rolls over in the ocean as 510 crew are evacuated - amid fears of hundreds of deaths in massive blow to Putin

  • Moskva, flagship guided missile cruiser of Russia's Black Sea fleet, has been badly damaged by an explosion
  • Russian state media said the crew were evacuated after an ammunition fire, with the cause being investigated
  • But Ukraine said it was actually struck by two of its Neptune anti-ship missiles launched from a costal battery
  • Sources with links to the Russian military claim the ship rolled over after being struck and has since sunk

Now that's what the Germans would have though and they have 60 trained men for 6 submarines.

NATO partners of Europe need to be strong enough to take care Russia themselves. US will ofcourse take care of the remainder in Pacific. But in West, Europe needs to stand up on its own.

That will free up US efforts for concentration against China.

Apparently this was the warship that was told to, "Go f*ck itself," earlier. That's what happens when you don't listen.

Having seen their navy's performance I think we can. We have 5 carriers between us and over 100 stealth jets and plenty of well-crewed submarines and destroyers with torpedoes and AShMs. We'll also have 560 nuclear warheads very shortly too, with 500 on SLBMs, enough to ensure MAD.

It became known about 169 captured soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine from Chernobyl

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Monastyrsky, said that Ukraine is negotiating the exchange of 169 National Guardsmen who were captured at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

According to him, part of the military is in Belarus, part - in Russia. The exchange, as Monastyrsky suggests, will be possible only after the end of the active phase of hostilities.

All the Propaganda destroyed by Pentagon itself:

Pentagon: “We assess that the ship is able to make its own way, and it is doing that; it's heading more towards now we think the east. We think it's probably going to be putting in at Sevastopol for repairs, but we don’t know what exactly caused that,” Kirby added.
