Ukraine - Russia Conflict

There were shots of the retreat of individual units of the Ukrainian army from the territory of the Red Estuary. The settlement of Krasny Liman is of strategic importance in Ukraine, since it opens up directions for advancing towards Slavyansk with Kramatorsk and towards the grouping of Kiev forces concentrated near Lisichansk and Severodonetsk.

Russian troops launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian plant "Motor Sich" in Zaporozhye. As a result of the missile strike, the plant's workshops and the administrative building were destroyed. The Ukrainian plant "Motor Sich" was engaged in the production, repair and maintenance of aircraft engines and also produced parts for Turkish UAVs "Bayraktar" and "Akinsi".

In Ukraine, a self-propelled mortar of a colossal 240-mm caliber was spotted near Severodonetsk. The king of Russian mortars, like many Russian artillery, is romantically named 2C4 "Tulip". The pretty name of the flower hides a monstrous power that inspires fear and respect, by the way, the shot of its 130 kilogram mine leaves a funnel in the ground with a diameter of 10 and a depth of almost 6 meters. Now there are no analogues of the Russian "Tulip": it significantly surpasses conventional artillery and is a record holder. 2C4 "Tulip" is designed primarily for the destruction of bunkers and fortified positions.

It's funny because it's true. It also sucks because it makes you realize that Europe pretty much needs the US to take the lead in a European affair. If US were to go isolationist before this war started all of Eastern Ukraine and southern would be under occupation while European nations would be infighting with each other with nations that want to help and nations that want nothing to do with. It's only because of US taking the lead that Europe is confronting Russia.

How sad and pathetic.

I think the Brits would try to fill the US void but it would likely fail and it would be them with a couple of nations giving Ukraine weapons.

That's literally the history of Europe up untill WW2. Without US leadership (and power), Europe will be politically divided

Russians are making gains in the east. If the Ukranians didn't retreat from severodonetsk and Lisichansk, they will will get encircled and it's going to the largest military disaster for Ukrain this war.

With the Russian break through in Popasnia and advances in Lyman, all roads to severodonetsk & Lisichansk is cut off

And Russians are just 5km from Bakhmut, which is an important transportation hub.

US seizes Iranian oil shipment off Greece - sources

26/05/2022 | 15:10

ATHENS/LONDON, May 26 (Reuters) - The United States has seized a cargo of Iranian oil from a ship operated by a Russian shipowner off the coast of Greece and will ship it to its shores on another vessel, three sources close to the case said.

A source at the Greek Navy Ministry said Thursday that the U.S. Department of Justice had "informed Greece that the ship's cargo was Iranian oil."

"The cargo was transferred to another ship chartered by the United States," the source said, without providing further details.

Last month, Greek authorities seized an Iranian-flagged ship, the Pegas, with 19 Russian crew members on board, near the southern island of Evia as part of sanctions imposed on Russia by the European Union.

The ship was eventually released due to confusion over the sanctions imposed on its owners. (Reported by Eleftherios Papadimas and Renee Maltezou in Athens and Jonathan Saul in London; French version Dina Kartit, edited by Bertrand Boucey).

This morning Soros said that the US intelligensia is ready for a world war (against China) and now the Chinese intelligensia answers that it is also ready for this world war.

I really hope that India will put its hand out in this war. Every country around the world need to avoid the US or the chinese imperialism and need a stable, peaceful and powerful country to rely on.

If surrounded, they can attempt a breakthrough. But I don't feel that's likely to happen.

The Ukrainians are deserting their positions anyway, so a withdrawal from the cauldron is inevitable.

Taking control of the main highways along Lyman and Bakhmut will shut down Severo's logistics. And the front should shift to Slovanysk-Bakhmut axis.

Sadly, we are not there yet, especially if we are to influence a war at sea. The US and China are moving faster than India is and possess better technology. And we are still struggling to feed our helpless population while trying to prepare for a basic two-front land war, both being 5-10 years away from being achieved.

In Ukraine, the war of Dronov-Kamikadze began between the Russian and Ukrainian armies. Both sides published a video of their use. Personents of the use of American Switchblade drones 300 by the Ukrainian army appeared, in the video you can see the launch of one of these drones, it is worth noting that the batch of these drones is captured by the Russian army, but so far only photos have been published. At the same time, the Russian army also began to actively use Kamikadze drones, then in the video you can see the frames of attacks by the Russian drone of Kamikadze Kub-Bla on a group of Ukrainian soldiers. The use of kamikadze drones in Ukraine will seriously complicate the fighting of both sides, the only salvation from them is the active use of electronic warfare and air defense systems.

:ROFLMAO:

It's funny the difference between Russian fanboys outside Russia and Russians in Russia how the war is seen. These folks on TV that get their talking points from the Kremlin know very well this "special military operation" is not going well. Russian fanboys outside Russia try really hard to sell this war that it is going to plan when it's not. Before the start of the war Russia already had a chunk of Donbas and in 4 months they have made insignificant progress while being defeated in Kyiv and city of Kharkiv. These commentators know this war has been very costly when it comes to troops and equipment and all this has been done by Ukraine without US/NATO heavy offensive weapons and they know it and are panicking because they know US/NATO heavy offensive weapons will soon be deployed by Ukraine and it will change the war completely. Russian forces have been blasting Ukraine positions in Donbas for 4 months now with little gains at a very high cost and now they are going to be at the receiving end of HiMARS/MLRS where every rocket is precision guided unlike Russian rocket arty. It is very likely those HiMARS/MLRS will come with a few ATACMS which is going to put the Russian naval base in Crimea and Russian bases in Russia in range.

What a mess. Their nuke threats have pretty much been rebuked as bark bark and the Russians know it. Their poor military has been reduced to use old T-62 tanks, that right there should tell you the state of their military but some of the fanboys in here are completely oblivious to that. Maybe India can donate their T-72's to their best buddies, ja? Lulz.

That's not how realipolitik works. If it did, then the US wouldn't be changing regimes in democracies and propping up autocracies.
Ukraine changed itself due to decisions that the leadership made that were deemed as bad by the masses. And how many democracies does the US support? And how many democracies does Russia support?
If all they wanted was this much, they could have bought most of it back in 2015. They could have built the ground units themselves too.
Maybe there wasn't as much panning to this war as you make out, or they would have clearly.

Oh, they have an "agreement" with Russia.... Ohhhhhhhh! A paper agreement no less! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
You make a fair point, no agreement with them two means anything, so good luck agreeing your border dispute with China. :ROFLMAO:

Sanctions effect. It's how quickly they boune back up that determines whether they have strong fundamentals or not.

Once they get richer, the -stans will become important.

The Russian population in Ukraine is pretty big.

Lol, if that's the extent of your knowledge on agriculture, then forget it.

It won't be Russia that will harangue Turkey though.
If you hit rock bottom, the only way is up I guess. :ROFLMAO:

Most of the -stans are turning against Russia.

It's not.

They're basically like Muslims in India.

They'll still be land-locked if Turkey close the strait.
