Russian and German fought during winter WW2 ! less than in summer, but when the soil is freezed you can move and fight. Anven during the rasputitsa.
Ukrainian (and US) top generals are aware of this. They will not let the time to Putin to train the reservists.
And even so, these troops will fight with small moral.

Russia has so far a track record of 100% lies, 0% truth, therefore -- it's bluff. I figure that they don't even have any nuke in working order because they've been too corrupt and inept to maintain them properly (tritium depletes fast), and they probably drank the missiles' fuel because they were short on vodka.
