You know the best part about this statement Paddy ? These useless statistics are usually generated & compiled by NGO's like Oxfam & other Church based organizations who then publicise it back in UK to raise funds which is promptly latched upon by his majesty's Government to donate to their cause with the rest being raised by concerned citizens only for these organisations to capture all this work done thru publicity materials they use for publicity to generate funds back home . It's a vicious cycle .
But there's more to it . The real fun part is all those people they help never become fully nourished ever . Then whenever the UK has an issue with India , your MPs demand UK stop aid to India which in any case is given to your NGOs mostly for their work in India , which the Indian government has repeatedly asked the UK to cease but has held it's counsel only when UK pleaded these NGOs case for the latter to continue their work here.
Now comes the coup de Grace - of late , it's been discovered that a good number of these NGOs feature people who're paedophiles , some of whom have been convicted of paedophilia too . And then there are financial frauds as well where many big these NGOs refuse to be audited by Indian agencies .
It's only the Brits who're capable of such sick behaviour . I mean what else can you expect from people who trafficked opium , deliberately turned their gaze away when millions were dying in India & the best part is while one set is busy compiling such sick statistics while diddling young kids , another set is sitting on the fat of their *censored* indulging in victim shaming online & offline while a third set is pleading with their government to persuade the Indian government to let them continue their "mission " here so that the 2nd set can continue breaking wind online constantly..
Here's Al Jazeera no less featuring a study conducted by 2 British academics on the subject of famines in India all through the Raj & the sheer devastation they wrought . Here's an excerpt of their findings :
The extraordinary mortality rates in India between 1880 to 1920 were no accident.
