Ukraine - Russia Conflict

I find it very interesting that while Ukraine's long range attacks target obvious military targets -- bridges that are critical to Russian logistics, ammunition depots, military bases -- Russia's long range attacks target exclusively civilian targets. Grain silos, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, etc.

This, more than anything, shows the difference in mentality between both sides.

Another admission that the entire, sole, unique reason why Russia invaded Ukraine is looting and pillaging.
Contrarily to the often-peddled lie, Russia never felt threatened by NATO. They wouldn't have emptied their borders of troops if they actually thought NATO would invade. Remember how the Free Russia Legion could occupy part of Belgorod Oblast for two weeks before Russia reacted? Remember how there was nobody to stop the Wagner thunder run to Moscow? Imagine if it had been NATO troops coming from Finland or the Baltic states instead...

Russia feels perfectly safe; they just want to party like it's 1700 and imperialism is still cool and good (but only when they're the ones doing it, of course).

So a few days ago, Russia tried to court the United Arab Emirate by openly siding with them in a territorial dispute with Iran over a few islands. Iran was pissed off.

So now Iran is openly announcing support for Ukraine's territorial integrity.

It remains to be seen if this will have an actual effect on Iran's military assistance to Russia (Shahed drones and artillery shells, notably). But it's still funny to see how even a resolutely anti-Western country like Iran is, diplomatically at least, turning its back on Russia. Now they're down to just North Korea, Syria, and the African countries where they installed a puppet regime after organizing a coup.

Ukraine uses real time US/NATO intelligence from ISR aircraft and SATs while Russia lacks these kinds of capabilities. There's really no excuse for Russia when you think about it's the country right next door to them.
