I don't recall being told the price, but yeah, it's way cheaper now. Hell, if euro keeps falling, the Rafale will become cheaper than the LCA.

They are providing assistance where necessary. Like the development of the carrier and its propulsion system, along with EMALS. They are willing to provide ToT for LM2500 and F414 (for LCA, TEDBF and AMCA).

They are also providing assistance in developing ISR satellites (NISAR), navigation satellites (like linking India's NaVIC with GPS) and ISR aircraft (Sentinel).

The US is also expecting India to participate in programs like FVL helicopters and a common IFV between US, India and Israel. Although these won't take off or will only be accepted in a limited way, one area we are interested in is future wide body aircraft like strategic transports, C&C aircraft and tankers.

So we are working with the US in areas where the French have none or complementary expertise.

There's no real difference between M270, HIMARS, Smerch, Tornado, A-100, Pinaka etc in terms of precision fires. All kinds of artillery is difficult to target. The problem with HIMARS is the numbers deployed in Ukraine are so low that the chances of killing it is very low.

As for satellites, Russia's satellite-based surveillance is one of the most advanced in the world.

As of 2022, China's MoD owns 129 satellites and Russia's MoD owns 125. USAF owns 87, US DoD owns 45, USN owns 24 and NRO owns 63, collectively 219. With Zircon, the Russians have far more advanced capability than what the DF-17 provides at a far cheaper rate.

The Russians are not using their fighter jets. They are mainly using Su-25s with unguided rockets like artillery.

Clearly the costs of the rockets must be prohibitive as regards a GLONASS-guided variant, because I don't see it being used much, or maybe the intelligence to feed it just isn't there.

As long as you have food and energy security and are capable of maintaining communications internally and externally, you are secure from sanctions.

Russia has all three. Plus they have what the world needs, oil, gas and weapons, which can easily exchange for some electronics.

With the exception of some temporary damage to manage the transition, the Russian economy will just bounce back.

Such sanctions will work on China and India, but not on Russia. Hell, at least India has food security, China lacks both food and energy security.

They are using it. But they are not making a big deal about it like the West is.

The data on the website you gave me is obviously wrong. This is the official data at the Zhuhai Air Show. It is obviously much smaller than the Iskander, and the M20 has obviously weakened the performance for export.
If it is similar, North Korea's Hwasong-11, South Korea's Xuanmo-2, China's M-20, and Russia's Iskander are all the same,M20.png
