Spot onIts just not morality, its bcos both MTCR & NPT were India specific to begin with. These regimes were used to viciously target India's non military programs like space & weather forecasting for instance.

Not really mate. Just telling it how it is. People have often bragged about Indian missile and space technology, but you had help in the early days with Russian rocket technology and then benefitted from western ICs. Others didn't have those advantages. You sound like the people who used flimsy logic to create a world of haves and have nots. Unsurprising considering Britain's neo-imperialist tendencies.

No one's trying to do that. Just appropriately apportioning credit, as and where it's due. Like I said several posts back, the MTCR does not prevent domestically produced missiles. Our missile program started in the 1970s. you're saying it was so bad that within 20 years aftre British left with no technology or money we we'ren't able to build ICBMs?
I told you neo imperialist arguments to split the world between haves and have nots is stunning. Thank god India was moral compass to the world.

yes, thats what it states. But the purpose was to restrict the technology & progress to just the boys in the club. Which literally meant any technology which was remotely associated with were not just denied for export from their country but also sanctions were imposed on other cntries which were exporting non-military goods for civilian purpose.MTCR doesn't prevent domestically produced ICBMs, it only prevents the sale of missiles capable of carrying a 500kg warhead >300km.
exactly , these regimes were used not just to block military capability but also every single damn thing that could deny progress in civilian sector of other cntries. On top of it some of these cntries then went on to sell these advanced technology items used for a very high price. They were imposing sanctions and also profiteering at the same time.No country has an ecosystem to build all components and even flimsy ecuses like 'oh you bought that Panasonic cable' can be declared as dual use for sanctions. Which is why we severely fought against it for decades and declared we did not accept a world of haves and have not on the basis of morality. Consequently some of pour missile projects were kept secret.
Now that we are signitories the sanctions are less of a problem and we can be more open about our ICBMs
we do but it is totally outdated but good enuf to be used in military applications ,Errr... You couldn't make your own IC?
we have had research institutions that have long history, all these nonsense comes from west as they cannot digest others progress. Not really mate. Just telling it how it is. knowing fully well that they were too new to have full ecosystems to develop missiles
So what was the problem with the MTCR then?we do but it is totally outdated but good enuf to be used in military applications
So what was the problem with the MTCR then?
So don't.even if we buy a nut or bolt from abroad to build missile it could be used to sanction.
So don't.
Although I really don't understand the issue, you had missiles capable of well over 300km before the MTCR even became a thing.
Or I don't think while high and aren't simple. You don't understand because you don't practice high thinking and simple living.

It's not like India doesn't use US technology inside its space programme.I don't know why @BMD is so P**d & crying like a baby here. UK is still ahead of India & any other Asian country when comes to high end technology.........being a 51st state of US has its perks.
