With the development of PGLRSAM, now we are having our own Iron Steel system similar to Turkish one.
1. 150 to 400 km = PGLRSAM + S-400
2. 70 to 80 km = Akash-NG and MRSAM
3. 25 to 30 km = Akash-P + VL-SRSAM*
4. 05 to 08 km = VSHORADS
5. Less than 4 km = Sudarshan CIWS
* = Not sure if it will be inducted by the IAF

As per some news outlets, DRDO has fabricated 8×2 truck mounted system for VL-SRSAM specifically for IAF.
Brother you are quoting I-D-R-W. Though Porky_Kicker once found a luncher configuration for VL-SRSAM.
The VLSRSAM is primarily a naval system and compares well with the CAMM/Sea Ceptor that the Pakistanis are getting.
The IAF will, at some point, need to supplement its Sypder batteries, especially to cover ALGs along the China border.
A mobile SHORADS like VLSRSAM is certainly a good fit for both the IA and IAF as it allows for dispersed ops, imo.

Title is misleading. Iron Dome is a short-range interceptor to intercept rockets and Shells. What we are aiming is THAAD like system to intercept ICBM.
The 250mm diameter(of main missile body) is a clear confirmation of this missile being derived from Akash-NG. Can't wait for the first test
Hope one variant can be developed in a IAI Stunner-style 'dolphin nose' config with dual ARH+IIR seeker.
Point No 1 suggests solid fuel as the propalant.
There seems to be a scope of compression of time line in point no f) and point No g).
Most of the time if you visit the plant you would find the lot is still there as drdo could not arrange the QA inspector PDI dates in time.
Few tenders on LRSAM coming out, canister data link, ground and onboard data link test setup etc. meanwhile premier Explosives is executing the following :

The only solution to delays like this is fastracking indigenous efforts like Kusha and not just changing imports from country A to B.
