Ministry of Defence has inked contracts withM/s Economic Explosive Limited (EEL), wholly owned subsidiary of Solar Industries IndiaLimited, for the procurement of Area Denial Munition (ADM) Type-1 (DPICM) and HighExplosive Pre Fragmented (HEPF) Mk-1 (Enhanced) rockets respectively for PINAKAMultiple Launcher Rocket System (MLRS), the biggest contract in the history of Solar Group.
We need a cruise missile and atacms variant for the pinaka. Something like the ctm290 from Korea.
And the av-tm 300 for cruise missile. Based on brazillian astros 2
And an anti-ship missile variant. Would be useful in taking out pla boats and exporting to Philippines.
This is also from the astros 2.
We could also add an anti tank guided missile on the pinaka also based on astros 2
Or alas B serbian based.
We then can even integrate tara or saaw on pinaka and make something like the glsdb
Although this concept has been a failure in Ukraine. Pinaka can be expanded into a lot of subsystems.
That's just different sub munitions.
We could still do a europuls like system. Where we could integrate er122,pinaka and israeli extra,larom, Delilah, hawk, russian 9m542 smerch gmlrs, atacms and prsm all integrated on a single system. We can choose our munitions. Indian artillery will have a tactical reach of about 500km with ease if we include our own upgrades along with integrating foreign munitions on the platform.

^^ if you want every system under the Sun integrated on a single vehicle , then it creates both pro and con for it, pro being same vehicle so less logistical chain. Con being at one point of time you can mount 1 or 2 system on a single tel which if it breaks down also take down whole chain. A single vehicle version can not traverse in every terrain and across bridges with equal success.
Ukrain war shows us what HIMARS is and what it can do, so all the militaries around the world will opt for similar systems ( except rogue nations like iran ) eventually, so better to develop such in house and stop IA to hunt HIMARS equivalent from abroad.

Possible but would need new launchers for the missile. And integration cost would be alot. Better to stick to some new srbm based on pinak launcher size.
MBRLs are mostly used as area denial weapons, i.e., they will wipe out everything in a 1 km by 1 km area. For precision strikes, we do have enough missiles above the 300 km range. A missile similar to the MTC 300 is going to be NASM MR. We can make a land attack version using the same missile.
Who would have thought the Pinaka could replace the rbu-6000 on IN warships. But looks like things are headed in that direction.

In fact, Pinaka's warhead could in theory even be replaced with a LWT to give us our own VL-ASROC++. Depending on the dimensions, Pinaka could be quadpacked into UVLS for high volume firepower.
Although, a naval Pinaka could also be aimed at replacing/supplementing the L&T WM-18 rocket launcher used on our LST-class ships and/or coastal ASW batteries.
Otoh, an airborne Pinaka would be a Rampage-class weapon for the IAF.
