Great, but I think There are Indian Alternatives also available for this like Data Patterns etc. I think these will be integrated to HAL LCH PRACHAND fleet along with RUDRA fleet. Overall good addition.

Quite the bad take. Horrendous take when it comes to certain capabilities and additions. AD raised some valid points.
Lol its always the retired generals on social media or news channels trying to stir up drama.
To think that Rudra was the first 'helicopter gunship' in Indian service with a proper eo/ir targeting pod makes the assertions of these ex-servicemen even more ridiculous. Mi-17s got theirs only recently with the integration of Spike NLOS, iirc.
So their effectiveness over Kargil's mountain terrain would've been limited, at best.
Iirc, even IAF Mi-24/35 were upgraded with Isreali targeting sights only a couple of years after Kargil.
