While Rafales AMCA along with CATS wingman will form backbone for strikes against protected targets...
Both strike and air superiority platforms are required for dedicated roles even though all platforms are multirole inherently.
Backward visibility is terrible. Will provide a huge blind spot for the pilot unlike say F22, Su57 or F16
HMDS can’t compensate for poor visibility. Good all round visibility is always good to have.
USAF too criticise F35 for same reason, although not as prominent as seen in this model.

The numbers are good. It may increase by 2 or 3 more squadrons at best. It will replace an equal number of Jaguars.
It's an air superiority fighter, not strike.
The MKI will need a different replacement.
It's not a real issue since dogfighting will be suicidal for a manned fighter in the 2030s. Drones will be able to handle greater agility, more than the human body can manage, so manned fighters will be more focused on staying hidden and issuing commands rather face the enemy directly. Performing dangerous missions will be the job of the loyal wingman.
It's a problem for the F-35 since dogfighting is relevant today.

120 is for 2032 so 5 years which imply 24 Planes a year for production it's not bad !
It's yet to get approval. First flight in 2024. Mk1 will be only ready by 2030-32 at the earliest.
The report is saying 120 planes 2032 onwards.

LRIP is expected in 2027, followed by production of 40 Mk1. Mk2 is expected to achieve IOC and begin deliveries only in 2032-33. All these are tentative dates, they will obviously change.
