PA has a history of lying to the public, anyone who has spent more than 5 mins reading about PA and/or ISI knows about this. What many people don't know is that PA also has a history of lying to their commanders/reports to hide embarrasing situations. This had led to ridiculous situations in the past. This also means that commanders are skeptical about SITREPs and debriefs.
An example would be the briefs provided to numerous platoon and company commanders moving up to reinforce combatant positions in Kargil during 99 skirmish. In a number of cases the field commanders refused to acknowledge to the relief units/reinforcement units the fact that the positions previously occupied by their troops had been retaken by the Indian army. As such we have had situations where Pakistani relief columns marched right up to Indian (recaptured) posts unaware of their new occupants.
Even in 1971, for operations in East Pakistan, on a number of occasions PA HQ fed wrong information regarding own positions to own troops, often telling them that certain positions were in their possession when in reality Indian forces had stormed them days or hours before. This led to Pakistani manuevre forces behind the imagined frontline suddenly running into Indian forces completely unprepared. Some of these encounters were hillarious. At least one was tragic to PA units found completely exposed infront of PT76 AFVs and cut down in minutes.
This is similar to the Imperial Japanese army where regularly Navy fed false information to the army and vice versa. Pride and self ego holds a higher place compared to the larger battle situation for a number of PA general staff. The consequence of being discrete with facts to those who need them the most has never been good for any fighting force.

Interestingly, warhead of R-73 is burnt. The same type of missile which was claimed to take out F-16.
Lets leave all of this. The biggest evidence that Pakistan lost a F-16 was given by Gafoora himself. Two people were supposedly arrested. One went to CMH and was reportedly injured badly. He was then claimed to have died by Pakistani PM.
Basic of truth is this, consistency. Pakistan has done so many flipflops in her narratives that it is hard to believe anything they say.

1. India lost one Mig-21
2. India lost one Mi017 in friendly fire.
3. There were 2 fighter planes which were shot down that day.
So, which is second one? Most likely it was a Pakistani plane, hence so much inconsistency in pakistan's statements.

The missile in question R-73 in your custody is totally burnt with warhead section completely missing. Seems more like a used missile.
