Akash is country’s important missile with over 96 percent indigenisation. Akash is a Surface to Air Missile with a range of 25 Kms.

The export version of Akash will be different from System currently deployed with Indian Armed Forces.

Indeed. Ameit Kashyap has beautifully explained it in his oven fresh video which I've just posted above. It's hugely informative.
Going by media reports ~80km. Seems reasonably going by the length of the missile.
Looks like there is an overlap with MRSAM. Or probably not if reports claiming 100km+ range for MRSAM is true.
I guess in all probability we'd see the total number of Barak 8s we'd be inducting, see curtailing. We certainly don't need 2 missiles of the same class. It's going the way the Spyder vs QRSAM is going.
