what a waste project , looks like DRDO & BEML dont have any good project to work upon.
These kind of non critical project should be given private companies instead of hogging precious resources that can be used for some thing better.

They are building enough T90s.

This is incentive to fast track CVRDE 1500ph engine which is under development for a very long time.

Its not the problems with the Germans. All MNCs around the world works like that, if a product is no longer in demand they will close the production line. Just like Boeing did with C17 Galaxy.

Morons are the one who incapable of developing an engine yet and the one who didn't stock piled the engine in advance.

Agree. Similarly on the GE404, we have given confirmed orders for only 83 mk1a. And GE has accordingly planned for a production rate of 20 engines annually. Untill we actually sign the deal for 97 more, how will they commit to higher rate of production?

Inefficiency on our side is a lot to blame. We need technocrats in decision making, not IAS.

Germany did not convey, its the company who did? Issue would have come had the German Govt denied export license. But this is a company's decision. The powerpack related work which is probably handled by CVRDE, terms had the 1400hp MTU engines related work alongside in the schedule for assistance in the 1500hp powerpack development work. I guess priority is now shifting. below estimate in the job ad from December 2023.

I would have shelved the MTU engines plan myself, but perhaps there are certain issues, like need to redesign some LRU or similar major/minor niggles.
