DRDO automated system for loading and unloading of SLBMs into SSBNs
The system is fully automated with fail safe redundancy for performing the tasks of handling , indexing , loading and unloading of the articles to and fro from the SSBNs.
DRDO slapper detonators used in the firing mechanism of nuclear devices
Two types have been developed :
1. Ceramic based
2. PCB based
These detonators are used for very precise detonation of the multiple explosive lens surrounding the nuclear core in a simultaneous manner for supersonic compression along the geometric axis.
Timing accuracies > 10 nanoseconds is possible using the above slapper detonators and with the lowest possible jitter.
These are especially required if one has nukes on board submarines etc due to the over riding safety factor.
Slapper detonators r the safest types and latest ones and the technology is restricted to select few countries only.

Submersible pontoon for SLBM testing.
This is used for developmental test fires in order not to risk a 2 billion dollar nuclear submarine in case of launch failure.
The pontoon is placed at the launch position and submerged to the desired depth up to 50-100 m in order to stimulate SSBN underwater launch conditions for the launch of the SLBM. After the SLBM is certified only then it is launched from a SSBN.

It comes with a FAE warhead at the rear and a super hardened casing at the front to penetrate the maximum possible distance in the soil/ rock/concrete without effecting the rear package.

Open sources quote INS Arihant is 111 m long INS Chakra in 113 m long. Clearly we are missing something.
chakra is bulkier so the only possibility is that it is more submerged than arihant
the tailboom/propellor parts are submerged -add some length to the chakra that you are unable to see from the pic.
