European Cup 2020 next.

Looking at it logically though. The last time we won was before we joined the EEC, and the last time we got to the semi-finals was before we joined the EU. Now we voted out and we're back in the semi-finals already.;)

Equally West Germany won the WC 3 times in 36 years, the united Germany has only won it once in 28 years. So clearly they need to put the Berlin Wall back up.:LOL:

The sole world cup of GB was very suspicious :
- England enjoys a nice refereeing that is the subject of criticism of many teams
- Geoffrey Hurst scores for England one of the most controversial goals in football history !

The GB game is not smooth or elegant. Don't expect another star on the shirt.

And we had a goal that did cross the line disallowed against Germany in 2010 and then we also had Maradonna's handball in 1986.

France have done very little between 1998 and 2018. In 2002 you didn't even score a single goal at WC.
 
Modric, because of his tiny stature, was bullied or not allowed to play. He often spent time kicking the ball on a wall in the park by himself to practice his ball control. Fine footballer and deserved tournament player.

Nah, we only riot when we lose historically but most of the clowns are probably in prison now. The French just like to riot, it's like wine to an alcoholic, anything is an excuse.

Group stage 2002, zero goals, group stage 2010. 1990 - Did not qualify, 1994 - Did not qualify. At least England is fairly consistent by comparison. 1998 - Last 16. 2002 - QF, 2006 - QF, 2010 - Last 16, 2014 - group stage, 2018 - SF. 1990 - SF, 1994 - Did not qualify.

So since 1990 inclusive, you have failed to qualify twice, and been knocked out in the group stage twice. We have only one count of each of those. You are either excellent or terrible, where as we are fairly good consistently.

You said french team did quite nothing between 1998 (not 1994...) and 2018. 2 x 2nd, and always by the smaller margin possible. Not so few Bro.
