Depends on the MoC of the train body, Paddy. Are you an expert on Indian Railways just by watching a few you tube videos? I've personally witnessed quite a few yahoos ride the roof on suburban trains for the sheer thrill of it ( no, they weren't Irish.at least in ethnicity.no marks for guessing their intelligence or lack of it & thus claiming kinship with the Irish, though) , get electrocuted, lose their life too. But I haven't seen any harm being done to their fellow yahoos riding the roof leave alone other passengers on the train.
Everyone is usually touching each other head-to-butt on Indian trains. This victim was on a surprisingly spacious train.
