I wish we could complete the Kaveri development and target its operationalization on a fleet of LCA for LIFT/DACT/Surya-Kiran replacement post-2030. A thirty or so LCAs flying with serial-produced Kaveri would be a huge achievement.

Negotiations with Safran is happening more than a decade and half.
Until it's signed, nothing it is.
Even if it is signed my conviction is that nothing much might come out of it. Most of the ppl here of opinion that an order for rafael will help us developing the engine. But frankly why would any one help you out when they can milk you as much as possible in one way or another. With these kind of deals we are just fooling ourselves we will neither get the complete technology nor help build our technical capacity.
