The Rawalpindi Freefallers

This is a tidbit of no significance.

Somewhere in mid-2000s, it is rumored that two Generals of Indian Army, decided to have a private bet over the capabilities of the Special Forces. What transpired, remains probably one of the most closely guarded secrets of the Indian Army, something which exists only in myths and within the tightly knit community of Indian Army, with a few selective individuals. This operation officially never existed and has, officially, never been undertaken/acknowledged and probably will be denied as a figment of imagination.

Subsequent to the bet, a team was detailed from one of the PARA (SF) units (name withheld for obvious reasons) comprising of those who were qualified in Combat Freefall.

Cheekily, the operation was soon put in motion as a routine training mission, but the scope and intent of the same, impressed the powers that be, and it was decided to go ahead with it. "Training" exercise it was to be.

A platform from IAF was requisitioned. Even the IAF was on board quickly seeing the audacity and boldness of the plan. The team practiced it's deployments and planned for what was to happen next. The IAF identified it's ingress routes to the target points and created a diversion and planned for the imminent ingress.

At the last minute, it was decided to deploy the team for training - over the skies of Rawalpindi.

Needless to say, the IAF platform penetrated the Pakistani Airspace briefly, the team was deployed in a HAHO mode and the aircraft egressed before the PAF could detect the intrusion. The team was given general area Rawalpindi to land and assemble in.

The team not only landed successfully, but over the next 5 weeks, successfully evaded detection and capture and egressed.

Further details are neither known, nor required to be known.

But ever since then, the 'Rawalpindi Freefallers' were legends for those who know of them ....

So their uniforms must have been Pak Army
Uniforms

One thing is for sure.expect a major announcement just before phase 1 of polls. My guess is all ops are being kept under wraps till a desired objective is achieved per a pre determined timeline, and once that is done. It will be packaged for the domestic audience. The silence of GOI and the tweets hinting at action are only building up the suspense, while ensuring public clamoring is controlled.

Shah is too canny to not milk this electorally

Why shud he not? we are a democracy and govt of the day has every right to show its acheivements compared to previous govts. Can anyone here deny that what this govt is doing was long overdue? We lost over 30k in Punjab militancy. No response. We have lost more soldiers on LOC and Internal security duties than what we lost in all the wars with Pakistan. Some day it has to stop. I am not the one here demanding a war sitting as keyboard warrior. I have served in armed forces and remain a reservist for next one more year and my own daughter is there right in the thick of action. So all those who say that I am a war monger better watch out. Someone must do this duty to save the nation. Our armed forces are the largest Volunteer force in the world and you can never gauge the motivation level of such a force. We are far far above conscripts.

I still maintain that strikes by IAF took place in Chakothi and Mujjafabad also but they being POK and our own territory have not been publicised by GOI. Much more is happening and as per the plan. It only got delayed due to Abhi making a fool of himself. from now on, LOC is a floating boundary and not a fixed boundary. Even IB is now no more IB if Pakistan violates it.

@Falcon had stated about bleeding the enemy and bringing him down financially before moving in for the final kill. We are now going to bleed Pakistan of all its resources, the same Pakistan which wanted to bleed us with thousand cuts. BLA being active and destroying some strategic bridges is not without reason. The Karachi Garrison of Pak Army is scared to even move out to Sindh. The Quetta garrison is facing serious sabotage by Balouch fighters. Its the Mukti Bahini Moment for Pakistan. No Punjabi soldier is willing to fight in Sindh or Balochistan.
Our cyber warriors are ready to completely lock down Pakistan and destroy their systems. They had penetrated them over six years back but never showed their presence. Pakistan SPD will not be even able to punch launch codes once we go into full combat mode.

Gen Husnain did talk about the Baluch elements of SSG going AWOL. Till now I thought this was just Psyops. Maybe ....there is something more to it.

Rawalpindi is roughly 85 kilometers from the nearest LoC border. I wonder how far the IAF aircraft ingressed and how far the paratroopers got from the diving point.

This is what irked them, they were shocked that how IAF sneaked in so deep and dropped the payload. Just swing compass anti clockwise 90 degrees and they would be over Isb.

It was only a warning not actually a strike. Strikes will happen now after elections if Imran Khan does not fulfill what he has committed openly.

Well not really, the military infrastructure is still potent, codes they have are ECB in one time pad coding systems, which are further encrypted with AES and Triple DES block chaining for storage, with authentication notifications using highly advance encryption systems kept mostly offline. But there is always a way which is time taking.

Yes, civilian infrastructure can be penetrated but it will be of less usage because most of the times it's already off :P . They kept facebook banned for years, then came the youtube's turn , load shedding happens every day in 80% of civilian areas. :D

You wouldn't tell me even if I asked you my in-depth queries so ill keep it simple and the rest ill speculate within myself.:) How many were thrown off behind enemy line and was survival in the wild their only mission?

We might have hajipir pass with us before first phase of polling.
This along with 2 other places were the first thing that came to my mind when india backed off after abhi was returned. Decided to stay off the forum and hope my guess is right.
Isn't Sri ganganagar IB? That area was red hot a couple of days back. Did we cross IB then?
Though my opinion doesnt carry much, but I think it was more of testing the waters for the pakistani's. Probing one area to benchmark estimation of force levels somewhere else I guess.
What I have known is that over 600 casualties within Pak army only and the figure in Makwal itself is over 100. We had killed over 50 on the day Abhi was released. We went all guns blazing within 8 minutes of him being released.
I have been monitoring low-level news and accounts inside Pakistan for a while now. When there are deaths, news generally starts at a very low level and soon gets suppressed. But lately Im not getting anything on any large number of deaths, its all business as usual.
Trust me I generally catch wind of such thing very soon because of my profession.
